* RECEPTIONISTS NEED REPLACING! *Writing on behalf of my Partner as she’s very upset. She called the practice, looking to book a short phone appointment with a Doctor regarding a medical problem. The phone was answered by an extremely unwelcoming, rude lady (didn’t get her name), who had some strange sort of power-trip. The lady was rushing my partner as she clearly couldn’t be bothered to do her a job to any sort of standard. And having now read the reviews regarding the receptionists at this practice, that would come as no surprise. She assured my partner - in a condescending, passive aggressive manner - that there were no doctors available today and to call back tomorrow. And, ‘unless it’s an emergency, there won’t be any doctors available’. Which is strange as it is new news to me that GPs are only for emergencies. We then decided to call back not 5 minutes later as I thought this seemed wrong. A very pleasant, helpful man (I didn’t get his name) answered. We said the exact same things to him, and he actually let us elaborate on the medical problem - unlike the lady. And surprise surprise, there were no issues. He booked my partner in for a phone appointment, to be called with in a few hours. So the lady quite literally lied!? I mean, it really is disgusting. Poor customer service does happen, and I guess that’s life. But when it comes to people’s health, and you get treated like that - with such negligence - it’s nothing short of disgraceful. I really hope and urge any kind of senior staff at the practice to read this review, and the other numerous similar reviews, and to actually do something about it.

The doctors are always helpful and there to listen and help, however since registering here the receptionists have all been nothing but rude, abrupt and dismissing. I was feeling seriously ill one day and called the emergency line, only to be shouted at that I wasn't supposed to call them because the doctors don't have time for me. Absolutely disgraceful, a shame because this makes me scared of booking future appointments even when I really need them.

Incredibly hard to get appointments, especially for neurodivergent people like me, and when you do the doctors are patronising and make you feel like what you are experiencing is in your head, you have to beg for referrals and they never do physical exams.I've been with them for more than 2 years and is just getting worst.

Nothing but the highest praise for our doctor surgery. So much kindness and empathy, you are a real human-shaped service. Dr Maddison, Dr Sturgeon, Dr Matthews, you are all wonderful and have looked after me and my family with exceptional intuition and care, especially since we've had Bella. Nothing is ever too much. Wonderful and patient reception team too. We are so lucky to have you, thank you. Hatty, Karen & Bella Hilton x

The doctors are great !!! But the receptionists. Have become so rude since other medical practices joined .they don’t let you finish your question and try to rush you off the phone . There is no need to be rude to people when we are not being rude to them .I m very different dismayed by the way some of the receptionists actually treat patients. Even complaining falls on deaf ears very shocked to say the least apart from that. This is a fantastic surgery

Calling up is a nightmare, even at 8am appointments never appear to be available and you’re always on hold for at least thirty minutes. Is there anyone even working the phones?

This is a great practice. Called up and received a same day appointment as well as being able to book online on the NHS app. Thank you.

Phoned in to make an appointment this morning, to receive a fit to fly letter & repeat prescription, for a holiday I'm due to go on this weekend.Michelle at reception very rudely just told me it wasn't an emergency, they were full & hung up the phone mid conversation. The holiday has been booked for a long time, and now left feeling distraught.

The doctors are real unicorns, particularly Dr Castle who has looked after my family with such empathy and kindness. Thank you so much! I highly recommend.

Before the first Covid lockdown, I had a flat mole on my back right in the middle, between my shoulder blades. Perfectly located where I couldn't reach it.By the end of the third lockdown, it had grown. Now it was an itchy, cracked, bleeding thing. That poked out and was sore and would bleed profusely if i was too rough with a loofah or a bath towel.Well, that's got to be chopped off!Luckily, Beaconsfield have a fairly regular 'minor procedures' clinic on site at the practice, which is MUCH more convenient than the surgical waiting lists at RSCH.One quick jab and a few scalpel slices later, job done. In and out, start to finish in 30 minutes.Laboratory analysis said Basal Cell Carcinoma, (or skin cancer to normal people) Luckily not the type that spreads to other organs or parts of the body, but untreated it would slowly spread across your skin like a weird moss fungus, which sounds lovely.Great job, love your work, would recommend!!
