The Extraordinary Hare
I am local to The Hare. I used to drink there every week. There has been a change of lease. Last week (it was Friday 13th) there was a new manager. A group of us were drinking and we had a tab. Unfortunately the bill did not correspond to what we had consumed - these things happen. However the way this error was handled by the manager was extremely unpleasant. The manager was very confident that it was the fault of the clients (apparently he never makes mistakes ). Maybe he was right but we are pretty sure he wasn't. A compromise was needed, maybe further investigation (we had been served by two people) but no, it was the fault of the clients as far as the manager was concerned and we were going to be made to feel uncomfortable about it. We left with a bitter taste in our mouths. I cannot comment on the food as I haven't eaten there. It looks good. The beer is kept well.UPDATE I am please to say that the offending manager has now left and I am very pleased to be able to drink in my local pub again.

The Extraordinary Hare
Just had Sunday lunch here. First class. Roast potatoes were the best we’ve tasted in a restaurant in a long time. Although at £20 it was a bit pricey, it was worth it.The service was excellent. Friendly but still professional. It’s been nicely redecorated. Modern but hasn’t lost its homely charm.Was a bit quiet, so hope more people give this newly managed restaurant a try.

The Extraordinary Hare
We visited the Extraordinary Hare for a family roast. We were greeted with smiles and taken to our table. Our drinks orders were taken, shortly after and drinks arrived. Once we had chosen from the menu our food orders were taken and the very delicious food arrived piping hot and fresh around 25/30 mins later (which shows it's homemade, none of this fast microwave food). We have 2 beef roasts, 1 lamb roast, cod goujons and chicken kebabs. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed every part of their meal.We then had desserts - which I can personally say have been the best we have ever had. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at the Extraordinary Hare and will be going back soon.

Had the best lunch here today :) Not one to leave reviews often but this place is definitely deserving of one! Starters, mains and desserts were all great. Chris was lovely, thank you for your service. Thank you to the chef for the amazing food and thank you Molly dog for the cuddles. Will definitely return when in the area. Highly recommend a visit here! :)

First time here, won’t be back. London prices for drinks, £6.50 for a Moretti. Thought we would go for pie and mash, what can go wrong with that? It tasted fine but not amazing, portion was so small it would have fitted on a side plate. Very disappointing! We left hungry!The chef was shouting at the barman one minute singing at the top of his voice the next. I have given 4 for service as the guy serving was working hard and polite under the difficult circumstances!

Lovely pub with country surroundings and easy to get to. Had a great atmosphere and a Sunday menu with 1-3 courses for under £20pp.Will come again for a desert but didn’t manage to get through one course! Love the refurbishment

Had a lunch at this place, first time. But would not go back as the menu was very limited so not much choice. Service OK. Had better. Also its quite pricey again I had better elsewhere, plus much much more reasonable.
