Absolutely a negative review. Again lady was nice and helpful, but her husband who owns the shop is a waste of a national insurance number. What a very strange guy who I would suggest that he leaves the running of the shop to his wife if he expects to make money or sales in the future. I won't even buy a tin of pellets from the shop in the suspicion that the weirdo will turn up. Pack it in or change your attitude quickly is my opinion......

The bloke is the worst business man I have ever come across. He's a weird character who is rude and acts bizarre to say the least. Has some good stuff but if I'm honest I think he is mentally ill. As soon as he realised I'd decided to spend £1200 in his shop and was told if I took the rifle he would work out some sort of deal for me he vanished and left the lovely, polite lady who works for him to complete the transaction. I'm considering taking the rifle back for a refund since I've thought about the whole experience and WILL be contacting impact airguns to inform them on how one of their recognised traders treats his customers. Don't give this complete idiot any of your hard earned money and use a dealer who has respect to the people who pay his bills and keep his business up and running.

I was intrigued to read so many varied reviews on City Airweapons and I can confirm that they are all true, the very good ones and the very bad ones. I have been in the shop many times. I purchased both of my Air Arms S410 and S510 rifles from the shop, I purchase all of my pellets, I purchased my charging bottle and had it recharged (following a heated discussion about testing - see other reviews) and purchased two scopes along with other shooting equipment on many different occasions. In my opinion the quality of the merchandise is second to none and for the size of shop there is an excellent selection of shooting equipment which must be seen first-hand. The reason that I persist in using the shop is because I see it as a personal challenge every time that I go through the door.Am I going to get the owners wife who is lovely and very helpful or am I going to get the hand-grenade owner who can flip faster than a football referee's coin? When he goes off on one it's something that really can't be described in words and makes you wonder however the shop has stayed in business for so long (lovely wife needs another mention). I actually went through with the purchase of my Air Arms S510 while the owner was in a full rant and was very pleased with myself for remaining out of a cell for the night on a potential GBH charge. I see all of my various visits to the shop described in all of these reviews, and they are all fair reviews........it just depends on which way the wind is blowing on the day that you visit. To be fair, I have been in the shop several times when tempers have remained calm throughout the whole purchasing experience but it doesn't take much to escalate into Basil Fawlty mode.The 3 star rating is a fair average between 0 star Mr. Angry and 5 star Mr. Smiley, both of whom you are likely to meet if you visit the shop.Be brave......give it go and visit the shop for the potential retail experience of a lifetime.

Absolutely pathetic. I have never had such rude customer service over a telephone call in my entire life. The man I spoke to over the phone about trading in one of my used air rifles was quite honestly disgusting and rude in the way he spoke and shouted down the phone. If you are reading this then all I can do is advise you not to help this pathetic business and you shouldn't even consider buying anything from this shop. I, personally will never buy anything from this shop in the future and I will tell others to avoid it too. Sometimes I wonder how these people are still in business with such poor and horrible customer service.

I've bought several rifles and pistols etc, the last time I went, before lockdown, they were just getting in their car to go on holiday. They unlocked the shop( no quick task) and allowed my friend and I to browse for 20 mins before I spent several hundred pounds. I found them to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I've also found in past dealings the gentleman can be a bit brash! His wife is definitely more patient but that said I think they are a good shop and well priced.

For those reading these reviews I have purchased from this shop previously when I know exactly what I want, and the price is good. However, the other reviews regarding the proprietors are generally sound. The Man is rude, arrogant and generally a first-class knob, the lady who is actually the registered RFD is always lovely and polite. If my information is correct the man should not even be in the shop as he is not an RFD.In my view use them if it suits you but there are much better dealers close by in Wragby, Woodhall Spa, Bardney, Scunthorpe, Skegness to name just a few.

Me and a friend call in occasionally (it's not on our way anywhere) and we always end up buying something. The shop is nicely presented and there are always interesting second hand pistols and rifles for sale.OK, there's no mistaking that the owner is a character but unless you have skin as thin as gossamer and expect to be cow towed to (which he definitely will not do) you'll be fine.

Well I thought some of these reviews were a little harsh and as it was my local airgun shop I would still give them a try,wish I didn't bother,went in, asked if I could look around,reply if you must! I had gone with 600-700 quid to spend, when I had seen a gun I liked, the guy told me every gun was sold and could I leave! So went to forest lodge guns at wragby and got 1st class service and left with what I wanted.So yes the reviews are correct.

I rate this retailer less than 1 star !!! Never in my life have I been subjected to such poor customer service. I entered the shop with a budget of £500 to buy my 21 year old son an upgrade from his current air rifle. After being confronted by what I can only describe as an ignorant maniac asking what do you want" I walked out of the shop empty handed. Later that afternoon my son went to the shop to complain about the event and to make a complaint to the owner

Bought my first air gun here, advice was excellent, great for beginners and hobbyists alike. Friendly service and quite good deal for money. Thank you.
