The Urban Gardeners have been working very successfully on this large private estate in SE5 for the past ten years.The once-weekly team of two to three men (depending on the season) under the excellent leadership of Toby Fellows has proved 100% punctual, reliable and hardworking throughout these ten years.The estate has approximately three acres of lawns, mature trees and established shrubberies. Under the care and supervision of The Urban Gardeners, our gardens have continued to look better and better. Shrubberies along the roadways are kept trimmed in very good shape, beds are neatly edged and weeded and lawns well-tended.Toby and his team are dependably courteous and co-operative. They have also been willing to undertake additional jobs such as replacing fencing, laying concrete hard-standings or lending an occasional hand to individual residents for their patios.They are excellent at making full use of leaves and cuttings for compost to benefit the estate.The very pleasing appearance of our gardens has of itself recommended this young company to neighbouring estates where they are now employed.LGEL, Camberwell

I manage a large residential building on the Southbank and since taking on Toby and the Urban Gardeners they have totally transformed our garden areas which include a roof garden where nothing grew as its so windy. It now looks in bloom all year round and full of colour. The driveway and the rear garden to our building look fabulous and we could not be more pleased with the work these guys do.Susan in Waterloo

We invited Toby to our estate to quote for a contract along with with four other companies in 2014 to replace our existing gardening contractor.The urban gardeners impressed all those who were involved in the picking by his knowledge, appraoch, ideas and just being completely friendly.We always go for the smaller independant companies than the bigger established companies when ever we can, as you get a better direct service and communication with them plus dealing with only one boss instead of several.Toby inherited what was a mess. He had his hands full in his first few visits improving straight cuts, curves, shapes as well as extraction of bushes that were not maintained previously and replanting of various areas. It was a massive improvement to what we had previously where you can step back and now admire the green that we have.All his guys are friendly and all professional in their works on site. We have a good relationship with them all where as a board of directors of the estate, we always receive excellent feedback from the lessees of the estate.Great work Toby and the team. Highly recommended.

Contacted for a quote, said yes they were interested but then haven't bothered to reply to any further polite emails asking when they would be able to make a site visit. Simple courtesy to say can't do it/not in our area etc. Seems like we're also not in the 'right' postcode for this company, as per the Thornton Heath review.Edit following reply - yes, this is definitely the right company. We will work with another company who seems more interested in our job.

Highly recommend this company. Toby came to look and provide a quote and after a brief chat, knew exactly what kind of plants I wanted. With the quote he sent a full list of suggested plants for me to look up and approve or change. I changed nothing. He and his team arrived promptly on planting day and were tidy and nice. They did a fantastic job and left my garden looking very neat and planted beautifully. I'm very happy. Thank you.

We had a major garden clearing required. Toby and his team were fantastic. Came and did a survey, arrived exactly on time, worked quickly and efficiently and cleared the garden (which also involved carrying all the waste through our flat and away) without leaving any mess. Further advice was extremely helpful. Highly recommended!

Toby and his team first did some work for me last year: the garden had become a bit neglected but they soon made it looked loved again. Since then they have been doing regular maintenance - he has sorted out some troubled areas of the lawn and he manages to keep the garden looking tidy while maintaining its mature character. He and his team are always polite, professional and very reliable. I've been very happy with their work and strongly recommend this company.
