Absolutely disgusting place, treated all guests awful ! Charged for tap water when it's supose to be free and didn't offer ice!!! MOULD yes MOULD on wine bottles, left the guests to tidy up after even though the venue said they would do it!!!My friend got told she could collect the items left the next day at 7pm to be then charged £100 and not given her deposit back!There was 2 toilets to use they told us we weren't aloud upstairs to use the other two !! When there were 100+ guests!!I ended up tidying up all tables with glasses, tins and food plates (maid of honor)The bride then had to clean up and go joke with all bin bags and food waste at the end of her special day !!!Absolutely disgusting and arrigant place WILL NOT BE BOOKING ANY EVENTS OR RETURNING !!!!They need shutting down !!

A year ago I had two left feet, now I can get around this gorgeous ball room floor doing the waltz, foxtrot, quickstep, tango, jive, samba, cha cha cha, rhumba, salsa, Argentine tango and viennese waltz as well as over a dozen sequence dances. The patience of Phil, Katherine, Alana and the rest of the instructors has been invaluable.Always a warm welcome to this clean licenced dance studio.I cannot recommend this place enough.

Can't recommend Hurst Dance Studios unfortunately. Seems every time you walk through the door you're being asked for money for something. As an example, the latest letter was for a dance show which made a point of there being no cost this year followed by stating parents must buy 4 tickets which totals £30. (Makes me wonder what the cost was last year). Also if your child doesn't attend the two classes before the show they won't be allowed on the show and there's no refunds. We're talking about 3-5 year olds here who get sick all the time and really does a show for 3-5 years olds have to be that perfect that they can't be a part of it if they miss a session. That's just downright mean. It also means if you're a single parent or you just don't know three other people who would want to come to the show, you couldn't watch your child on the show. Another example is having to pay to attend your childs medal ceremony... and having to pay for the medal (never heard of such a ridiculous thing). It shows they don't care about the kids or their parents and that it's all about making money.Another reason for this negative review is that you can't watch your child during a dance class, not even through a window. You just have to trust they're getting taught properly and that they are taking part etc. The teachers aren't qualified to look after children, they are dance teachers so i really disagree with not being able to keep an eye on my child. This was emphasized when on one occasion the teacher had to keep leaving the 3-5 year olds unattended while she let people into the building because there were no other staff available to answer the door. Another session saw the usual teacher replaced by what looked to be a 16 year old in charge of the kids which i wasn't happy about and wasn't happy paying full price for. These two situations happened in my opinion because the owner, Philip doesn't want to cancel classes and refund customers. Speaking of which, expect to pay for a full month even if classes are closed for bank holidays etc.The owner, Philip comes across like a nice guy but I don't buy it. To me he seems more of a salesman than a dance tutor and i think a lot of people have fallen for his happy chappy sales tactics unfortunately.

Absolutely fantastic dance classes! I have been coming to ballroom & latin classes here for the last 3 years. As a solo dancer I was initially quite apprehensive about joining but I couldn't have been made more welcome! A fantastic team of staff, friendly people and the best way to shake off those Monday blues!

Lovely venue with what seems a huge list of socials and dance events. Phil is a great host and dancer/instructor. We always get a warm welcome. Just wish we lived closer. Highly recommended.

I DJ’d in this venue a few weeks back. Good venue, sound system was good & the staff where very polite & even went out their way to accommodate me with a booth monitor.

Phil and Kathryn are professional but friendly.Their classes are great, lots of fun and it’s easy to follow the instructors.There are other social functions for dancers, and sometimes families, to attend. Phil and Kath put on social events and dance breaks too, these events are always well attended, which speaks volumes. The dancers that attend are very friendly and welcoming.The venue has a few rooms but the main ballroom has quite a big floor and has a licensed bar.Rooms can be hired for functions and are big enough for children’s parties etc.

I do a tai chi class on Wednesday afternoon with Higher Porpoise Tai Chi and really enjoy it. We are in the upstairs dance studio. The facilities are clean and comfortable and Jane, the teacher, makes the session interesting and enjoyable while exercising the body and the mind.

First lesson today for our wedding dance and it was a brilliant experience. Super knowledgeable staff and more than willing to make up for our shortcomings!Very much looking forward to the following lessons!

Very bad, we travelled from the wirral and he cancelled it without notice. He had my phone number because he text the day before to confirm the class was on but never contacted. I've been waiting for a deserved apology since but never really expected one from Phil hurst. This has been my 3rd dealing with him and they've all been bad in different ways. Never again and when I've mentioned it to other dancers there not surprised. Never again.Why would I lie? Nothing to gain. I phoned my dance teacher and she isn't happy that he said that , she said he's a liar. I've never made a review anywhere before. Horrible little man but make you're own mind up.
