Westfield Fishery - Exclusive Carp Fishing Lake

My first review was removed for some reasons. I fished here my my brothers and my dad from the 14th august till the 18th august 2023. Fishing was not good, the lake itself is not maintained at all its very weedy and not over all looked after in and around the lake. Over a the 4 nights we had only a couple fish come out one carp one bream and we told the the previous group had said a lot of the same thing that it was great. The Facilities there are very good showers and toilets very clean

Just returned from another 3 night stay at westfiled had numerous trips here in the past. As usual lake looking very nice. Shower and toilets very clean, Karl as always very helpful with advice and tips. Unfortunately for me this time no fish but my son had 2 lovely carp out. Lake is a bit weedy but put the work in and find your spots the rewards are there.Even though I didn't catch this time I enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and wildlifeie kingfishers red kite and deer

I'm not a Carp fisherman but was tempted to fish the 'stream' which is designed for pleasure anglers and according to the website is highly stocked with Perch, Roach, Grayling, Dace, Bream, Chub, Pike, Tench and Brown Trout. It is also stocked with Mirror and Common Carp up to 10lbs and has 20+ swims. So being a competent angler of 50 years I was pretty confident of a good days fishing. Well, needless to say I shouldn't have been. Firstly only 3 fishable swims, everywhere else was overgrown. I tried numerous baits, depths and methods of coarse fishing. I tried the other two swims. I even tried fly fishing but to no avail. The net result of my days fishing on a 'highly stocked' water was a fish not even on the list of stocked species, the smallest Rudd you have ever seen! I was joined on the water by a fellow Marlow Club angler fishing on the opposite bank, he also blanked. He suggested the fish had all returned to the river for spawning, which begs the question why is fishing allowed on this stretch during the close season if it is still part of the river system? So when asked to pay £13 to fish a water apparently highly stocked but in reality void of fish and other than the microscopic Rudd (there was no other fish movement or indication of any fish in the stream other than the tiny Rudd), I felt I had been conned.It looks as though, like all fisheries these days, the money is all ploughed into the Carp fishery and we'll just take the micky out of the pleasure angler by charging the same rates as for the carp lake even though there are no fish present!

Stunning lake with good facilities.Karl was more than helpful for any of our needs and gave excellent advice on tactic s and spots to fish.We will more than certainly be back

Another fantastic weekend at Westfield fishery. Managed to catch two lovely looking carp, 19lb & 25lb!Westfield is a fantastic venue in my opinion. A very mature carp water with multiple features to fish including large weed beds, Lily pads, overhanging trees along the back margins and gravel spots if you’re willing to take your time to find them.During the summer months the weed does grow a fair bit, which makes minding spots a little harder but as mentioned there a plenty of spots to be found.The lake isn’t an easy fish but if you’re up for putting the work in, the results are brilliant. There are some really big carp to be had, over the last few years we have managed to catch carp up to 37lb.The facilities that are available are outstanding, a very clean toilet area with a shower room which is always in tip top condition. There’s a fridge available and power supplies for charging electrics.Carl, the owner of the lake, is a great guy. He’s always around to help out when needed, giving advice on spots and baits.Overall, Westfield is a fantastic lake for anglers looking for a challenge and a chance to catch a specimen fish.

I have had an amazing three night stay at Westfield farm fishery with a total of nine runs resulting in seven carp from 20lbs to 37.2lbs between five anglers.All the fish were in fantastic condition as is the fishery itself with well looked after swims with no rubbish or rats present.The owner was very helpful and welcoming ,great advice was given on bait ,presentation and the hotspots to fish to also the owner came out on request to remove some over hanging branches that were hindering casting and repaired my broken down van.Westfield is not a runs water and can be difficult at times due to the wise old fish that are present but it's well worth the effort and in a beautiful peaceful environment surrounded by some wonderful wildlife with excellent facilities. 5 star fishery.Thank you.
