took my car for an mot not an issue with the staff but on returning for a retest was greeted by the owner with a very aggressive attitude which made me feel unesy and worst was the next day I had no apology from anyoneneedless to say I won't be using this garage again

I've been going to Martyn Billings for the last fifteen years + I have always found them to be efficient trustworthy and honest. They always give you the choice so you don't end up spending money on your car that isn't essential. I would highly recommend them . I have had services,aircon mot the list goes on .

Updated 1/11/2023It's very disappointing to have to update this review after so many years loyal custom, they tried to fail my van based on a no fail back bumper..I agree with all other issues that failed today except one, while I have looked this up on the DVLA Website and they state it is not a fail, the nasty rude and aggressive staff member who clearly has anger issues did not like being wrong about that issue and proceeded to swear lie and rudely interrupt me while i was talking, while making false accusations and statements that do not represent the factual state of affairs concerning said bumper.he also deliberately tried to goad me into paying by card tap instead of swipe and pin.. I will be applying a chargeback for this very aggressive and rude activity.A mechanic friend did once warn me that this mot tester has a very aggressive and nasty attitude towards their customersbut i tend to give everyone the benefit of the doubt clearly my friend and others where right about themyou have no right to speak to ppl like that at all you lost yourself a loyal customer and further work by being both aggressive and rude and after speaking to my mechanic completely wrong about said bumper.. what a mess

Great garage always fair with MOT 'S friendly good service

Not happy with the outcome of any of my MOT had it passed and within inspection my break pads were backwards my tyres were not road legal and my subframe was made with expanding foam and painted over

I took my car to Martyn Autos yesterday first thing in the morning. I did not book an appointment as i only realised that the MOT ran out the very next day. Martyn told me to leave it with him and he would fit it in. I received a call later on in the morning to tell me that it had failed. I went to collect the car and was told what it had failed on. I told the friendly receptionist that i had a friend who was a mechanic who would most likely do the work , however one of the jobs he did not have the tool to do. I asked Martyn for a quote, he advised me that if I was to have done one of the jobs done on the advisory note then what it had failed on would probably be ok. I took his advise and low and behold he was right and my MOT cost has been kept to a minimal. I have to say my faith has been restored in the motor vehicle repair industry. I have been wripped off so many times its untrue, but this garage did not do that. It just goes to show that reputation should come before greed!!! and in this garages case they uphol that moto!!!Thankyou from a very happy customer. i will most definately be back and will highly recommend!!!!

Found vehicle fault, main dealer couldn't find the fault. Good friendly service and very keen price. Always nice to be able to recommend people that can actually do a good job and give you piece of mind.

I drove to Martyn Billings and asked them to replace the cambelt and service my car. They Said it would be done by the next day. I came back the next day to find out that they had not even looked at my car, they promised that it would be done for the next day. when i picked up my car i found that something had been spilled inside and that someone had smoked inside of it as well. They do not keep to their promise and the work they do is below all standards. I severely regret servicing my car here and advise everyone to keep away from this garage.
