I have traveled with Wildlife Explorer twice now and can only say that each time was its own special and magical time. The entire staff at every camp treats you with respect and as a friend. They all have deep knowledge of the wildlife and geography. The food, accommodations, vehicles, and service are a true compliments to the amazing animals you encounter. They are by far and wide the best guide service I have ever used. We have had the pleasure of seeing every type of animal from gorilla to leopard, crocodile to lion, elephant to baby hyena. Hi Jamie….I remember you…. Believe you were with us in Rawanda….baby gorilla inched along a branch and reached out to touch your hand…Most recently I took my son and his family on a safari with Hannah….great memories of evening sessions with “ The Serengeti Boys”. Will and Delaney ( grandkids) will never forget them….also their afternoon learning about the Masai people was terrific.The animals and vistas speak for themselves…. With Wildlife the difference is the people.…your Dads stories…. learning from Godfrey…the closeness of the small group..going to the markets especially in Morocco…not many American stores offer a selection of camel heads for sale..I have friends who have gone to Africa with the brand name operators … not near the relationships we have with you guys…and all of them went on one safari…Yvonne and I send our love to you and your family …Bill McCallum

Amazing. Fascinating. Epic. Those are the words that come to mind when describing our first ever safari in Tanzania with Wildlife Explorer. Gary and team were fantastic, the accommodations were wonderful and the food was better than what we eat at home. Our itinerary took us to Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park before ending in Zanzibar for a few days rest on the beach. I highly recommend Wildlife Explorer, especially if your first trip to Africa. No one is more knowledgeable. We're preparing trip number two with WE and this time to Morocco. Can't wait to the see them again!

To date, I have traveled with Wildlife Explorer six times, including four safaris and excursions to Egypt and Morocco. There is something about Africa that draws you in and Gary and his amazing team know very well how to give their guests a unique and unforgettable experience.It is a privilege to watch the animals in their natural habitat. While they are the star attraction, a safari with WLE is much more than the wildlife. Quite often, we are on game drives with no other vehicles around. The experience of driving across the Serengeti observing the ever changing landscape - verdant green scrubs, tall grasses and the occasional acacia tree as far as the eye can see is primordial. The feeling it evokes is indescribable.Sundowners in a different location each night, followed by fun, laughter (and the occasional dance party) by the campfire under a canopy of stars sipping a glass of South African red wine is the perfect way to end an incredible day in the bush.Your tent in WLE’s private camps are spacious and very comfortable. Hot showers, flush toilets, beautiful Moroccan carpets on the floor and, best of all, unparalleled views of the wilderness from your bed.If you are looking to extend your stay, Gary and his team are happy to arrange a beach trip to Zanzibar for post safari R&R or to Rwanda to trek with the mountain gorillas. Both are incredible experiences not to be missed!While these experiences are great, it is WLE’s amazing team of guides who take your safari experience to the next level. It says a lot that each of the guides has been with WLE for 15-20 years. They are knowledgeable, friendly and can spot a pride of lions in tall grasses from miles away! First of all, Tanzania is a magical place. But to have been privileged to have seen most of it in the company of Gary Strand and Wildlife Explorer has made it even more so. Recently our fifth trip with this outfit was to the Northern Serengeti and the Wildebeest migration. More magic. Both my wife and myself are advanced in years and not that mobile. Yet, with the help of the fine crew of Wildlife Explorer we were able to enjoy it as much as in our younger years.

We have been with Wildlife Explorer on more than 20 safaris to Africa. They have all been amazing and varied. While most safaris to Tanzania would likely be great, going with Gary Strand, his family, and staff will make it amazing and different than most other companies. We often talk to people that went with other companies and they are always amazed by our experience.

We have done two safaris with Hannah Strand and Wildlife Explorer and cannot say enough good things about both of them! This crew truly knows how to make a trip a memorable experience. Everything was planned out precisely for maximum game viewing as well as time to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. We always felt safe and well taken care of. The crew is so friendly and hospitable, not to mention knowledgeable about everything we saw. We plan to do a 3rd trip in the future with Wildlife Explorer because in our opinion, they are the best company to go with, hands down!
