Tongue Tie North East

Couldn’t recommend Iona enough! After bottle feeding concerns we reached out to Iona and she was very quick to respond with an appointment for us to visit for an assessment. The clinic was lovely and comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome. After lots of advice and support she found our little girl did have a tongue tie and this was sorted there and then for us and my partner was with her while she had the procedure done which took minutes. We have noticed immediate improvement and she was like a different baby the same day. Iona gave us lots of information to help at home such as exercises which are simple to do and feeding advice. Would definitely recommend to anybody who is concerned about their little one we can’t thank you enough Iona! X

All I can say is Iona is amazing, would 100% recommend anyone struggling with a baby with a tongue tie or feeding issues to go and see this lady! She listened to all of our concerns with care and after being told our little girls tongue tie wasn’t severe enough to be causing the feeding and vomiting issues she was having Iona examined her mouth and explained she was 75% tongue tied, she then had it cut and we where kept fully informed about everything that was happening! It was very quick and efficient, Iona then observed a feed after she had it done, and gave us some great feeding advice, what a difference it has made to our little girl since the first day of having it done! Also can I just add the after care communication by Iona is amazing, and her response times are brilliant! She’s answered many of my questions and put my mind at ease a few times after the procedure! This lady is an angel thank you so much!

Me and my husband took our little girl to Iona after multiple attempts to get her tongue tie dealt with by the NHS. Iona was fantastic with all 3 of us, the appointment was very helpful and full of lots of information and help, the tongue tie was dealt with and our little girl barley knew anything had even happened, since the appointment with the help of Iona we have now gone from soaking wet after each bottle to almost dry its made a huge difference in feeding and our little girl now wiggles her tongue all over and is super happy. Would absolutely recommend Iona we've have an amazing experience.

Amazing life changing service provided by Iona!Not only is she knowledgeable she makes you feel so comfortable, we were welcomed on arrival, (the waiting room is lovely by the way!) and given lots of information, in no way did I feel pressured to accept the procedure and felt I could make an informed decision based on what information Iona provided. She went in to all the details and answered any questions I had, she was lovely with my son and the procedure was over and done with so quickly, within seconds he was feeding and straight away i could feel a difference! Amazing!We were given information about his procedure and I liked that she also attached information in his red book!Iona has kept in touch after the appointment which is great!We are now a few weeks on from his procedure and he’s doing amazing, Feeding is actually pleasurable with no pain whatsoever! He was so restricted before and to see the difference now is unbelievable, the movement in his tongue is amazing!Would absolutely recommend without a doubt!

Iona was brilliant couldn’t recommend enough! Booking an appointment was very easy and Iona rang back within the day to have a consultation. Iona explained details which other health care professionals had never brought up for the tounge tie which we couldn’t recommend enough. Quick easy procedure which baby hardly noticed! Iona also gave us brilliant advice for bottle feeding.

We visited Iona with our 3 week old daughter for the tongue tie revision procedure and she was amazing. Iona's knowledge is outstanding, she was professional and without a doubt the most caring professional we have encountered since having our baby. Before the procedure Iona went through lots of information with us, ensuring we fully understood the procedure before asking if we would like to go ahead. The procedure was very quick and the baby quickly settled once fed. Iona spent lots of time teaching us the best bottle feeding technique and giving aftercare advice. Me and my partner went to Iona in desperate need. Our son was tongue tied and the NHS failed to do anything about it, despite it extending to the tip of his tongue. He couldn’t latch properly, struggled with colic and acid reflux. Iona was amazing with our son, she was caring, compassionate and really wanted to help us. Iona was very informative and thorough on everything she spoke about. The procedure was done very quickly and our son soon settled. After the procedure our son has improved so much it’s like he’s a completely different baby. He can feed so much better, his colic has gone and he’s so content and happy. Iona was very prompt at responding to my email in the first place and since he’s had the procedure done Iona has kept in touch to see how he is doing. Iona was incredibly professional, reassuring and caring. Our son’s tongue tie was done as quickly as possible and perfectly given how wriggly our little boy is! He was 6 months old when it was done and all my anxieties about the procedure were taken away once we were sat with Iona. I would 100% recommend Tongue Tie North East

Excellent from start to finish. Really prompt in responding with my initial enquiry and made a real effort to get us in earlier than our initial appointment date. Iona was really friendly and welcoming but so professional at the same time. She was able to work through all her questions, information and consent really efficiently without distraction from baby (which I think is very impressive! ) but also without rushing or glossing over anything. She has such a calming nature and that level of professionalism and knowledge puts you so at ease as a new parent bringing your child for a tongue procedure! The procedure itself was so quick and the immediate after care and time given was amazing. Everything was exactly as she said it would be and we left really pleased having had such a positive experience. Thankyou!
