Ryehill Medical Practice

The only problem i have had is the difficulty in getting through by phone at 8am to make an appointment.Despite that I have been able to have sameday appointmentsExcellent support from Dr MacOwan plus friendly and efficient help from practice nurses.I find it difficult to understand such negative posts.

Just to share my experience as it's quite similar to the other patients, given this something really must be wrong with the employees in this practice.Firstly, very oddly but the physio named Jason asked me, what you you expect me to do for you?" Help me not having pain I said?! That's your job

Absolutely disgraceful in terms of the service provided , I don’t know if it’s intentional or not but still baffles me how people have not taken them to court . I feel like there is some form of discrimination. Reason being , they debunked my medical reports and when I asked for a proper examination, I was shunned away like a outsider . I was prescribed antibiotics yesterday, I was meant to pick up from a local pharmacy. Woke up this morning , went to the wellgate and I shocked to discover that they failed to send notifications. As I’m typing this feedback message , they are looking for the prescription. What an actual Joke !

Phoned up at 8.00 until numerous times until 8.04 when a recorded voicemail said the practice was shut? So 4 minutes of taking appointments to then being shut? Something doesn't add up. Ive been to this practice a few times over the years and it's been barrable but has always had its problems for getting a problem. But 4 minutes of calling and then a voice mail saying it's closed just doesn't make sense. Some people are in desperate need of medical advice and treatment. Can you please reply back as to why on Monday 8th of April was there no response at 8.00am until 8.04am surely this can't be how a medical practice runs? Very unprofessional. I try to avoid going to the Doctor's unless in desperate need of one so that other people in more need can use the service. However when i really do need to see a GP I expect to atleast be told there is no more appointments but can book in for such date?

This is honestly the worst experience I have ever had a doctors, I have been unwell with different things and have never been helped properly and have been left to get even worse. The reception are rude, unhelpful and talk over you when you try and explain what’s wrong. It’s so so upsetting when you are genuinely unwell. The doctors I have seen have also been very short and uncaring and when I went to see the nurse twice she had no idea what I was even there for! I have even been given medication with the wrong instructions on how to take them and could have become very unwell had I not used my own common sense and noticed their error, this was thank goodness picked up by my pharmacist. I could go on and on with the issues I have had but please do not join this practise it is honestly the most horrible place to have to deal with when you are sick, anxious and unwell.

Absolutely horrific patient care. I have not met a single GP or receptionist at the practice who has been able to show even one ounce of compassion for any issues i or anyone I know registered at the practice have endured. It is beyond a joke that the university of Dundee actively encourages students to register at this practice as they seemingly thrive on belittling and gaslighting their patients into thinking their health concerns are not important and that they are not deserving of medical treatment. If you live in Dundee and are considering registering to this medical practice, please don’t. They do not care about your health and they will not help you.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE,please, if you need to see a doctor DO NOT go to ryehill center.I am an exchange student, 3 days ago I started feeling sick,yesterday finally I gave a phone call at 8 am to the number I had to to get an appointment as I had fever feeling, lot of headache and my throat was really painfull and big.Thay didnt pick me up the phone, so I went there at 8:30 am, they told me they will call to give an appointment, they call me, not to give me an appointment but to recommend me to take ibuprofen, paracetamol and liquids. WITHOUT SEEN MYSELF (crazy)Ok, I thought, maybe I have to be more patient, I did it and today I woke up with throat plates, and 38 degrees. I am pretty sure that I need antibiotics. I went to the GP center again, they told me no appointments today"I just need to see a doctor to check my throat and that can give me the recipe for the antibiotics.Now

I have been to RMP several times and always found the staff there efficient. Dr Ogilvie provides excellent consultation and treatment. Nurse Fiona Robertson deserves 5 stars for her service to patients and for her wonderful cheerful manner.

EDIT-Score remains at 1, even though one member of staff is a cut above the restSince giving the practice another chance due to lack of choice, I was met with a warm doctor by the name of Dr. Hendy. The reception staff and majority of doctors are still lacking any level of manners or warmth whatsoever while dangerously brushing off any and all qualms without taking anything seriously at all. Dr macowan and fiona the nurse are excellent!!! Exceptionally good with my father in his latter years and always always made time for him. Very efficient and appointments all made very quickly. Shauni on reception and Carol (the older lady) on reception very good too!!
