Stayed for one night and ate in the inn too, make sure you book for this the food is outstanding some.of the best we had all trip, the staff were friendly and helpful and the bed was comfy could not recommend more highly

We entered to restaurant without booking of the table .Manager and the restaurant staff rose to the challenge to guarantee us a table for 10 people.Each of us ordered something different ,the food was carefully prepared, hot, fresh and each plate looked like an artistic work.The entire restaurant staff is friendly, smiling and takes care of every customer.I recommend it with all my heart and I will definitely come back☺️

Fantastic local restaurant/pub with rooms. We had a visitor stay here recently rather the Marriott down the road and was very impressed with the room and breakfast. We have had dinner here on many an occasion and the food is always good. The play equipment out the back makes this place a no brainer for families, especially in the summer with the outdoor tables.

Friendly fast and really fresh food served on a hot summer day. Can definitely recommend the salmon bruchetta starter and the Balmoral chicken, the best I've seen of both. First time here and will definitely be coming back

Stayed the night and had a meal there too. The meal was one of the best meals we’ve had before, the beef was amazing! The room was nice, clean and warm. The staff there are very friendly and welcoming, we will definitely be coming back.

More of a restaurant feel than a pub, but you can go in for a pint or a coffee and made to feel very welcome. Well appointed and comfortable with great loos! We didn't have a meal but good coffee and excellent cheesecake.

I went with friends for a coffee as we finished our hike.The staff looked at us really bad and made us feel very unwelcome when we asked for a table. Then, they took us to the last table hidden behind a cottage, even when they were other tables available. When we asked then to sit at a better location, the waiter went back to double check.We felt very discriminated and rejected the whole time.

The food was good, although there was no blackpudding in my chicken and blackpudding pie....The service and welcome more than made up for this, though...We loved it and would definitely be back

What can I say other than WOW. I brought a large group of friends here for a roast (15 of us) and we all had the most fabulous time. I emailed the pub a few weeks in advance due to the size of the group and they were wonderfully accommodating both via email and on the day. We had some vegetarians in our party and they went out of their way to provide a vegetarian roast which was delicious. We even had multiple people comment that it was the best roast they'd had (both the beef and vegetarian roast). The service was 5 star and the whole meal felt seamless. I can't fault our experience and look forward to returning again. Thank you!
