Linays Commercial

I have attempted to view three properties through this agent over a period of two years. They take my details and never get back to me! On one occasion they kept telling me they will arrange a viewing soon and when I kept chasing them up, I was then told that the property is gone off the market to another buyer. Frustrating is an understatement. My advice is to check out Hummerstone and Hawkins or Acorn Commercial.

I agree with all the other reviewers, this agent does not return calls or keep buyers informed, they choose who to sell to and ignore all other buyers. When you chase up on your offer they do not respond until a few days later with a abrupt response that the property owners have accepted an alternative offer, they keep you out of the loop whilst progressing the sale to their own preferred buyer !!!

My husband I would highly recommend this service. Very professional and friendly with amazing deals. Thank you so much Toby for being such a great help. The communication was always clear and prompt. You always went extra miles to ensure that both the landlord and and we were helped out and satisfied. Opening my first business premises was a big step. Linays helped me throughout the entire process with viewing numerous properties, explaining the lease terms, planning permissions and introducing me to solicitors. Hats off to the agency team who I cannot fault.

Selling a commercial/residential building while living overseas was proving to be extremely difficult, until I contacted Linays commercial. They were professional, efficient and extremely effective, achieving a price which way exceeded my expectations and the expectations of other local agents contacted. They dealt with every problem that arose, and there were many, with a calm and calculated approach. I am so grateful to have had Mandeep managing the sale and cannot recommend him highly enough. I found Linays to be lazy, condescending and dishonest. We eventually completed on our commercial property purchase, with no thanks to Linays, having to research and uncover all information about the property and area ourselves: Linays were completely uninterested in supplying any information at all. I have no idea if this is their general attitude or if they made some sort of judgement on us based on demographics. The entire process took almost a year, and in the final few days, Linays backtracked on the agreed purchase price - a price the seller himself had supplied - and we had to come up with an additional £10,000 or the entire sale would fall through. Linays took a gamble that we valued completing the purchase over taking an ethical stand, which probably pays off for them financially in the short-term. What they fail to consider is that someone buying a property today is someone selling a property tomorrow, and from the looks of the other reviews on here, nobody who has ever bought through Linays would touch them with a bargepole when it comes to selling.If anyone is investigating underhand practices within this organisation and is thinking of holding these people to account, please do get in touch. We'll be first in line to back you and supply you with our evidence. This type of behaviour has no place in modern society, and our area deserves better.

The most unhelpful agency I have ever encountered. It took 6 months of calling to view a property which has been vacant for 3 years.Advised to submit a proposal. Which took time and effort and research on our part involving 5 contractors.No information sent when requested.No negotiation.No phone calls returned.Messages and emails not responded to in a timely manner.State the property is not for negotiation and don't waste time.If I could award no stars I would. We were also advised by the first person we met that a particular agent was useless. Just our luck we were lumped with that agent.Do not advertise your property with this agency as it will sit there for years.

It has been a pleasure working with Linays during the process of renting my commercial property. They dealt with the matter efficiently from the initial inspection all the way through to the tenant moving in. I was kept updated on a regular basis and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Linays assisted me with a rent review on my commercial property where the landlord initially requested a 50% increase. After instructing them, I was delighted to hear that my rent would remain at the same level. I would recommend to any other business owner.
