I thought this practice is not the best, but now I am in place where everything takes ages to be done. So at least they are quite good in time response. In Whitevale reception is not the people you wish to deal with when you are really ill. They are either indifferent or rude. Doctors and nurses are nice. Some are more helpful and professional than another ones but they are nice in general. Although, it often seems like they just want to get rid off the problem and not involve, but I guess like in all NHS sector.

Absolutely ridiculously rude reception staff. The building is really outdated. Also they refuse to give out a print of your own test results or diagnosis print outs, even at request, which I find weird.I will be looking for another practice.

The doctors that I have dealt with here have mostly been wonderful.. considerate ...caring and thorough . There are one or two women on reception that are quite literally the worst people I've ever dealt with. I called just now and was basically shouted at ..i had to hold my tongue So much...its as if they think they're doing you a favour by giving you and appointment . If it happens again ill make a formal complaint to the practice manager because their attitude would really put some people off from even contacting the surgery .. it's not all the receptionists..there is one in particular thats lovely ... but 2 at least that are just abhorrent.

The receptionists don't tend to be too helpful at this medical practice. You will often wait quite a while before getting an appointment with your registered GP. When you manage to book a suitable app, they're never on schedule, often running up to 30 mins late. It happens so frequently that they took the sign down off the wall which was public facing which read 'if you have waited 30 mins past your app time please make the reception aware'. They probably couldn't cope with the amount of people asking what had happened to their app!

I have no idea what I do wrong on every occasion I phone, but the receptionists always seem to have some problem and speak to me in the most disrespectful manner. Because I have to keep in contact with the surgery monthly, this means I have to speak to them monthly and I always dread it, I’m sure one even lied about not being able to hear me once and hung up. A lot of the doctors are great but one Dr Black was nasty, accusing me of lying about forgetting a psychiatric appointment I’d attended and all in all regarding me as he would a piece of s#*t on his shoe.As I deal with a great amount of anxiety even going to the doctor, this absolutely disgusts me and doesn’t seem very in line with the Hippocratic oath! All in all I’ve had a terrible experience with this surgery in the short time I’ve been there and I would hope it would improve but I’ve no doubt it never will. If you have the choice to go somewhere else - avoid.2023 - The receptionists I’ve spoken to lately have been very kind and courteous. It makes me feel better about phoning and I can’t thank them enough for that. The doctors I’ve had are also very capable. I am changing my review from 2 stars to 3 to represent this change from a few years ago, but no higher because Dr Black is still a problem and he should retire because his heart obviously isn’t in it anymore. Absolutely useless. He made me feel worse coming out than I did going in.

Best to avoid. The reviews on here and general opinion in the community is for a reason. Dr Roger Black is one of worst doctors I have encountered in my 40 years. He has a nasty streak and clearly shouldn't be working with the public. Do yourself a favour find another practice.Receptionists can be hit or miss.

My 18 yr old daughter is type 1 diabetic they made a mistake with the her dosage she wasn’t being given enough insulin for the month the receptionist was Extremely aggressive and rude which made her cry! so I called to make a formal complaint with the practice manager but the receptionist is the practice manager too that’s why you can’t put complaints in but you can get the email address for Glasgow city council and put a formal complaints in that way.having to beg for insulin that your life depends upon is absolutely sickening! When she spoke to the doctor he apologised and did say it was their mistake they should definitely change their receptionist as I would feel sorry for anyone with mental health issues or depression having to speak with this person it would push it over the edge.

The receptionists are rude. There is no excuse for this. If they are too busy to be kind then the practice is being badly managed. I tried to speak to the practice about this problem and was told everyone that thought the receptionists were rude were evil". AVOID."

I have been a customer to this medical practice close to 20 years. During these years Dr. Black has been friendly and professional at all times. Some of receptionists have changed over the years of course but many are still there. Some of them are friendlier than others.

Shocking practice, my wife and daughter can never get appointments and whenever they phone in for help/advice the receptionists are extremely disrespectful. I went in to drop off a urine sample one day, waited in a queue before being shouted at to put it in a tray to the right of the reception.Going to sort out a move to another practice today as we had another bad experience when my wife phoned up in pain and was given no help at all.
