Was meant to be a straight forward vinyl job.Our kitchen and downstairs toilet were being replaced.The man who came to do the work I actually couldn't fault at the time. He was friendly, polite and kept his work spaces clean and tidy.Unfortunately after a few days my partner and I noticed the flooring in the toilet had bubbled and the vinyl in the kitchen was coming up in the corners it was meant to be stuck down.This fault was put down to the flooring underneath still being damp.I spoke to someone anyway and they said they would get back to me.The very next morning someone decided to turn up out of the blue with no communication whatsoever expecting to complete the work.SMC clearly stated they would not remove white goods etc...for obvious reasons I know but my partner told him that I was at work and she was laying our boys down for a nap, it wasn't a good time.We were then told it would be a while before they could fix their fault again but as I needed the day off work this was arranged for last Friday between 9 and 9 30...Well it got to 10 30 and no one turned up and if it wasn't for me contacting SMC I would of been none the wiser. No one would of contacted me that morning and it was a complete waste of a day off.We decided to crack on with the rest of our day and have some family time.My partner called SMC to say we weren't happy they hadn't shown and not once did we get an apology from anyone, it was just miscommunication again apparently. So again my partner said I would get back to them to arrange another time.An hour or so later someone else then turns up randomly to say they are here to do the job but they don't even know what the job is!It's all been a complete waste of time. It's a joke such a small company has such poor communication skills I certainly don't want them coming back and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.As were tenants we have been treated like second class customers and its not on, despite the fact were renting to buy this property I certainly haven't seen any care from them in the slightest. I am now having to pay out my own pocket to get this shoddy work sorted out.
