Stepping out Alpaca Trekking

Absolutely brilliant! Learned so much about the alpaca's, also got to meet some donkeys, a pig, a pony and kissed a llama! The alpaca's were all gorgeous and very gentle. Amazing experience.

Had a great visit to Stepping out Alpaca Trekking as part of my hen party. The animals were very well cared for and we loved Fiona, the most glamorous farmer I’ve ever met! She even dressed up the alpacas as a bride and groom!

Booked a trek with the alpacas but had the added bonus of meeting Fiona, who led the walk. She is as warm, friendly & quirky as the alpacas on her farm, with whom she has a deep affinity with. Fiona kept us entertained & engaged, sharing all she knows about her alpaca family & the other well loved animals on her farm. If you are looking for a unique & eco-friendly activity- this is it! Lovely, reasonably priced ice-cream & a tea room are also available, all high up in the hills with stunning views overlooking Huddersfield.

Absolutely fantastic experience, couldn't recommend Stepping Out enough for anyone interested in a bit of a different day out. Fiona was absolutely lovely and you could tell she really cared for the animals which was very important to me. The whole experience lasted much longer than we thought (in a good way) and we felt like we had learnt so much. Thank you Stepping Out for such a fabulous day!

A wonderful day learning about and walking Alpacas :)Very well handled given the current social distance rules. Simple and easy rules to follow.Very informative and learned. We got yo meet the various animals at the farm, including ponies, emus and horses.The Alpacas themselves were very very well behaved and a delight to walk. A lovely herd of animals.A fantastic and fun adventure.

Fantastic fun for the family. 3hrs long and full of useful information before you walk. You'll meet goats, ponies, donkeys and ostriches. Then the alpacas which are awesome little souls. Great owners too.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Stepping Out Alpaca Trekking. We thought we’d just be walking the alpacas but the experience was so much more than that! We got a fantastic tour of the animals at the farm including the pig, sheep, donkeys, emus and llamas (which we got to feed some treats!). Fiona was so warm and welcoming and hugely knowledgeable and very obviously passionate about the animals. The alpaca walk itself was brilliant, we were on a hen do and Fiona kindly decorated the bride’s alpaca to make it extra special for her. The walk was a good length and we enjoyed spending time with the alpacas and their different personalities! Fiona made us all feel comfortable and was particularly mindful of those who were a little nervous. We all had an absolutely fantastic time and couldn’t stop talking about it all weekend!Thank you Fiona!

Absolutely fantastic, managed to get in last minute as a surprise for the wife. What Fiona doesn't know about alpaca's, isn't worth knowing. We've learnt so much today and really enjoyed. Well worth a visit
