Chris was really really good and helpful gentleman to sort out my big problem. I had an appointment of my MOT with the other garage originally. Mid afternoon on Friday. They had no clue to check my old car and blamed me that my car broke their emission check system. No progress. MOT was expired. Unbelievable. I accidentally found Direct Service at 17:00 on the same day. MOT was fully booked on that day (Friday afternoon at 17:00 without MOT booking… asking for MOT, It must have sounded crazy and I must have looked really silly person), but Chris kindly offered me to carry out my MOT on Saturday instead of. That was a his extra work. The result? I had no problem of emission matter at all, and emission was even cleaner than MOT result of 2020. My car is classified into Non-catalyst equipped vehicle (metered check)" category. Chris has very good knowledges of various cars including oldies like mine

Great, friendly honest mechanic and MOTs. Chris is a one man band but will bend over backwards to accommodate you at reasonable prices. Phone and book in, as he is always busy.
