Glasgow West Medical Practice

Goodness me, I cannot recognise the way some reviewers are speaking of this practice. I have found the service here to be of the absolute highest standard. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone goes out of their way to be helpful. Doctors, nurses, reception staff are all professional and caring. My situation means I use their services constantly and from my experience, I would award more than five stars! Brilliant.

This is the worst practice I have ever been with. I requested a copy of a referral and was surprised at the judgemental tone of what was written about me. Then there is the issue of the frequent texts saying the practice is closed due to staffing issues, by the end of this week it will have been closed for two weeks. Poor service, terrible attitude and never open. I'd take a guess that this business is going down the pan.

Negative personal experience, do not recommend. It takes time to take an appointment even a year in the case of the podiatry department. I requested my personal file for my visits feeling unhappy and disappointed by some ommitions made by the practicioner. If you have money to invest in your health it is better to go to a good private specialist it will save you time.

Do not join this practice.I had spent years at this practice before moving and the instances of malpractice and neglect cannot be counted.Seriously considering filing a reportWe have had multiple family members registered here and every single one has received awful service, highlighting Dr Grant and Dr Legget especially.If i could give 0 stars i would.

Dr Grant is a thoroughly unpleasant individual, who I believe has failed in his duty of care on multiple occasions. Aside from his medical ineptitude, he is devoid of basic good manners, and should remember that he is being paid to provide a service to the general public.

When you call this practise the first recorded message you receive is the Doctor telling you all the things that they CANNOT help you with! Following this you have to speak to a receptionist who will make a judgement on the merits of your condition without any real qualifications to do so, or without looking at your medical file. The NHS and this medical practise are going down hill, they are failing patients on a daily basis. It's a great shame!

Was advised by GP to go for private assessment if I could due to massive waiting lists. In sheer desperation, I did. Came back to the GP and now being told they don't accept private diagnoses and to go to the back of a one year waiting list. Now left with no medication and no treatment and have thrown away money I couldn't afford to lose on an apparently useless diagnosis. Avoid this place.

I am a long standing patient of this practice. Over the years I have been able to rely on the expertise of the practice doctors and the very helpful and caring staff. I have nothing but praise for them. I have encountered very little delay in seeing a doctor at any time.

This practice is very professional. I have struggled for years to get health professionals to help me. Every staff member I have been in contact with have been compassionate and helpful. This practice listens to their patients and that’s the best thing you can do. The doctors and nurses here have actually changed my life, by listening and giving me the correct treatment. Registering at this practice was my last shot at trying to find a good medical practice then I was going to try private. I’m very greatful and even throughout this pandemic they have always made time to treat any health issues I have occurred. Very little waiting time and always made to feel at ease. Well done and thank you.

Doctors are very unhelpful, you have to constantly bring up the same issue over several appointments before they actually look into, but to add to this it's incredibly difficult to get that appointment. I've had to ring multiple times just to get into the call queue, I got through to the receptionist only to be hung up on. I rang again and experienced the same issue. This is incredibly frustrating! What's the point of even trying to get an appointment when you can't get through to anyone?
