Amy was the warmest and most welcoming individual. Having never stepped into a slug and lettuce before I was nervous, however Amy blew me away. She catered to our every need, ensuring that our food and drinks were perfect for us (they definitely were). We were even able to order through the app with her help and explored the boujee range of cocktails. Everything was high quality, an incredible atmosphere. I cannot thank Amy enough for my experience here. Safe to say I will definitely be returning.

I have visited Slug & Lettuce George street several times for food and nights out. Every time I have experienced first rate service and have always been impressed with the high quality food and fantastic 2 for 1 cocktails. All staff have always been lovely but one of the managers, Amy, is particularly amazing and has gone above and beyond several times to make our experience extra special!I regularly recommend this venue to friends and family looking for a great day or night out in Edinburgh:)

It was my first time visiting slug and lettuce, what an amazing restaurant/bar. The overall experience was great, nice atmosphere and great service. The one highlight in particular was a member of bar staff named Elliot, very polite young man. He had went above and beyond his job requirements for me and it didn’t go unnoticed. The food quality was great, definitely recommend the fish and chips. Will definitely be visiting again!

Would give a firm 0 if possible! Turned up for my best friends birthday brunch booking with 11 other friends. We were told that we wouldn’t be given our table despite the fact we had paid more than £50 deposit. We also were there within the grace period but they continued to lie to their own benefit!! Absolutely diabolical customer service!! The door staff and manager should be sacked with immediate effect!! They shouted at us all and were completely out of order. They’ve ruined a birthday and lost out on circa £400. This establishment should be run by someone who understands the concept of “the customer always comes first”. Will never be returning. Have simply never been treated like that in any establishment. Rude and aggressive!

Extremely disappointing Christmas lunch. Turkey main course was dreadful. One centimetre of completely solid 'gravy' in a jug, dried out big chunk of meat that you could hardly cut, mashed potato had a crust, brocolli you couldn't cut. No one came to ask if meal was okay so after more than 5 minutes when I couldn't see a server I had to go the bar with the gravy jug. Nearly 10 minutes later before it was replaced. They did offer to get something else but the second diner had finished by then. Dessert is a magnum ice cream with some chocolate sauce and dried raspberries over it. At £34 this meal is overpriced (even if it had been edible). They did reduce the price of the meal but still made it an expensive plate of pigs in blankets.

Ask for the wifi as there is no signal which makes ordering a pain when u have to go up and order at the counter. The staff were so busy but did so well.enjoyed myself.

Amazing place for cocktails! Their cocktails menu is huge and reasonably priced, when I went they had 50% off cocktails which was a very nice offer in my opinion. Their food menu has a lot of options and the food was delicious. It is worth keeping in mind, that I went on a Friday and place was very busy, so I would recommend getting booking if possible; otherwise, I don’t think you’d be able to find a table during Fridays and maybe Saturdays. We tried ordering through the app, and it was a huge pain because the app wouldn’t work, but we ended up ordering at the till. It’s a nice place for drinks and a fun night out if you don’t mind somewhat loud music and a bit of a busy environment.
