Stenson Marina

This has a working marina, a pub and a cafe. Also a car business now occupies a lot of land and frequently has vehicles moving in and out so it doesn't feel safe to take the children as there is no footpath on the pub side of the canal.It's hard to park as the businesses have occupied a lot of land, and it's no longer an attractive place to visit. Currently the canal is closed for works to the train line, which also means the canal footpath is diverted. The cafe is still open thankfully and offers some nice cookies and coffee.We won't rush back as we just found it unsafe from traffic for children either walking or in a pushchair.

Great location, nice marina.

We had a lovely walk to the Stenson Marina and called In at the Stenson Bubble Cottage Cafe. My hubby had a lovely bacon and egg cob and I had a bacon sandwich. Delicious. Very comfy and lovely to watch the boats going through the lock.

a mixture of the old, the modern, and the very beautiful nature

Lovely place by the lock, with a local tea room, & the gastro pub. My only problem there is parking, spaces that used to belong to the pub, are now taken by a second hand car business, so there are cars all over the place. It's a real issue at times, especially in the evening.
