Unison Aberdeenshire Grampian absolutely disgraceful.Abandoned me from the beginning of an extremely traumatic stressful situation @ Glen o Dee Hospital. 2020 onwards.33+ years loyal service giving care & compassion to patients & proud to be paying into Unison all that time - but when I needed the same due to absolutely horrible career destroying unfounded allegations, My Union was posted missing & blamed the COVID Crisis on lack of communication throughout.I was left feeling suicidal.I’m not a trouble maker butI would recommend that workers think twice about giving them your money as they may not be there for you when you need them the most.

Unison (Aberdeen Branch). Unison DID NOT represent me fairly in my case against my employer regarding unfair working conditions (no PPE or protection provided during COVID19). Unison DID NOT help me with any additional funding available to Unison members during the initial stages of COVID19. Unison DID NOT speak with me properly regarding my complaints against my employer, and instead the agent I was assigned generalised my case completely, then proceeded to arranged meetings with my employer (regarding a completely different matter) all done without my consent or myself even being present at these meetings. Unison DID NOT act in a professional manner at all throughout my case, (lack of communication, information, empathy) resulting in myself cancelling my membership in disgust, then finally being forced to leave my job in the care sector (after 10 years service) as a direct result of misrepresentation by Unison.If I could rate Unison (Aberdeen Branch) zero I gladly would based on my experience. Terrible Communication. Poor Attitudes Towards Members. Unprofessional Approach. Spiteful Agent's. Lack Of Empathy. Corporate AttitudeAs a result I have been left in a considerably worse situation than when I contacted Unison for help initiallyFor these reasons I would not recommend using Unison to anyone considering doing so in future.
