Vindis Cambridge Service Centre - Volkswagen and ŠKODA

I recently visited Vindis for my car services and couldn't be happier. The service was terrific. Victoria Bardsley looked after all of my requests, made sure I was constantly updated on the progress and ensured that my car was returned in excellent condition.

Have had issues with brand new VW ID3, leaving it utterly useless (software not showing mileage and unable to start heating etc) for over a year now, and tires have been recalled. took it in, they said they fixed it, which they hadn’t, so promised me another appointment in 4 weekes, it is now 4 months and nothing. They haven’t had the tires in stick either. Have called, emailed multiple times and they keep promising me a response withing a week: still nothing. Wish I had never bought ID3. It has been a disaster from start to now.

I had a great experience getting my car's service and MOT. I was able to work in one of the business pods on site and got lots of work done! The staff were all incredibly welcoming and friendly.

Taking a vehicle to Vindis is always a very frustrating experience.If you like doing you own dentistry, Vindis may be the place for you. If a paper cut on your tongue while sealing an envelope is your thing then you may like a visit here. If a DIY project is never complete until you smash your thumb with a hammer this could be the place to take your car.It takes 2 or 3 times as many visits and phone calls to get anything resolved as it should. Nobody ever returns your calls, even when they tell you they will call youMy issue was pretty straight forward, I cannot imagine how difficult a Cole’s problem would be.The staff are very polite and the place looks slick, the receptionist of friendly, but if they cannot deliver and efficient solution to customer needs that is all for nought.I cannot think of a worse customer experience for a very long time. Not since I last had to deal with Vindis probably.

I am very happy with the service provided. Everything was by the book. The only downside is constant lack of courtesy cars (next one is available in a month), not sure if this is because small number of cars or high numbers of appointments, but for such large service located outside major city this is something that should be addressed.

Looking on their reviews scores, it seems they don't really even care. Generally trying to avoid Cambridge branch and if there is a need using the Peterborough Wings. Unfortunately, when I had to use extended Skoda warranty and road side assistance there is a need to use a local branch. There is no point to dive into details but basically my car has been twice in their garage but they haven't found the fault. What is worse that they aren't even interested to make any troubleshooting(in their understanding troubleshooting is replacing parts). And on extended warranty they can replace only parts that are broken. On top of that they haven't provided me with the temporary vehicle which is currently escalated via the customer service claim.Bottom line what I am trying to say AVOIDE this place if you value your time and looking for a good Service.

My MOT activated a recall so I booked in.Easy drop off as I checked in online.E mail sent which demonstrated the results of my car health check which was helpful. No pressure to have the work completed by them.Easy collection and pleasant staff member who handed back the car.

Checked my car in for repair efficiently. They understood exactly the nature of the problem and spent time giving personal feedback on return for collection of the car. Friendly service and car valeted while in centre. Only 4 stars because the centre is not located conveniently and the wait for a courtesy car was going to be a long time in the future. A lift to the local Park & Ride terminus would be of some help (more than 2 miles away) as the local bus service to Cambridge is hourly or 2 hourly!

Appalling service - unless you really need to go avoid like the plague. They have no idea what is going on and cannot fix electric cars- find another company to deal with yours

VW Vindis have the worst customer service I have experienced. I regret ever buying a vehicle from them. My ID3 has been with them twice as part of a VW recall. The first time I had to wait nearly 3 months for a part to be delivered and fixed. Even then they did not carry out the recall work. The second time is current and they have had the car since mid July. Once again there have been delays with parts and the engineer away on holiday. Still no sign of the car being returned. The service team don’t answer the phone and when I ask for call back nothing happens. They simply either don’t care or they are incapable of supporting electric cars properly. VW seem incapable of supporting their agents so everything is a mess. If I had known this when looking to purchase a car I would never have dealt with VW or VW Vindis. I am a very unhappy customer. Be warned.
