Don Williams has been brilliant. I had spoken to many opticians about my dry eye issue and was repeatedly told that all that could be done was to use artificial tears and a warm compress, but Don examined my eyes and asked about my medical history, and found the underlying cause of the dry eye. He prescribed punctal plugs and a course of anti-inflammatory medication, resulting in my eyes now feeling better than they have in years. He has continued to remain in touch and give advice after the consultation. Honestly not only the best eye care but the best medical care I have ever received.

***LISTEN*** I showed up at Dr. Williams clinic yesterday. Unannounced through recommendation by my optometrist. He was accommodating, patient and dealt with my emerge so swiftly. Reviewed on behalf of my father.I was seen by Dr Don Williams who was absolutely fantastic.He was thorough, let me explain my issue in full and conducted numerous tests in order to diagnose my problem. He reassured me that the issues I was experiencing could be treated and advised me on how to proceed.During a following hospital appointment, staff commented on the amount of paperwork I had recieved from EEC and the quality of not just the images but even the paper they were produced on.Nothing was too much trouble and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone seeking professional advice and thorough treatment for issues.Thank you to all staff involved, Simon and in particular to Dr Don Williams.

I had visited numerous clinicians regarding my dry eye condition- but struggled to find anyone that could help or go beyond the standard dry eye drops. I was recommended to Don, and am so glad I was- I travelled from London to Birmingham to get Don’s advice. As well as being highly knowledgeable, Don is a very nice guy, and took time to listen my concerns. He also spent ages looking at each eye, which was very reassuring. Don got to the bottom of my dry eye issue, and I’m currently on a treatment plan. I’ve asked numerous questions since visiting, which Don has quickly responded to. I am so glad I visited!

I am a type 1 diabetic and have stage 4 diabetic retinopathy suffering extreme dry eyes. I attended don williams after NHS let me down with a shocking service. I thought i was going blind. Mr Williams diagnosed the issue in 20 minutes (recurrant corneal errosion) after a thorough examination and explained it is a secondary consequence of the retinopathy) . He explained the issues, the solution and prescribed a 3 month course of medication. On the first night of using the drops the change was amazing even after Mr Williams advised that after 30 days i would notice the improvements. I can highly reconmend Mr Williams there is no price one can put on eyesight. The man and equipment is very simply the best - if you want a solution then make an appointment you will not regret it.

I am so relieved I consulted with Don Williams. I had been seen on the NHS a number of times with no diagnosis or treatment, but I was still suffering. After my first consultation with Don. He was able to explain my condition succinctly without jargon. Don is extremely competent in his field and is easy to contact if needing extra reassurance.To anyone suffering from eye problems, please DO NOT hesitate to book an appointment with Don Williams!You will leave his room, knowledgeable about your condition, any treatments and basically, you will feel reassured that you are in good hands.

I visited Don after struggling with dry eyes for just under a year after having had Lasik. At this point I was feeling very helpless and very very uncomfortable! Don has been amazing. After visiting Don I am now on a treatment plan that is working brilliantly and I feel so much better. Don is a brilliant guy with so much knowledge and really friendly also. After several years of mild discomfort associated with dry eye and then several months of considerable discomfort, in desperation I phoned Friday morning and was given a next day appt. Don Williams made me feel so at ease and after a thorough examination was able to diagnose other problems that was contributing to the dry eye issue. Can highly recommend this practice and in a day and age where customer / patient care is so sadly lacking, it was wonderful to feel properly listened to, not hurried and given total understanding of my situation. I just caught myself short at the end of the consultation where I nearly hugged him.
