I’ve had my hair cut here a few times now and I’m absolutely delighted. Jen my hairdresser always goes above and beyond to make sure my haircut looks great as well making sure my hair colour is on point! She’s a true professional and an excellent colour specialist. Everyone at the salon are always warm and friendly and genuinely happy to see you. I would most definitely recommend 281 Hair. Great job and see you all again soon.

Catriona is an absolute superstar!I wanted my hair lightened after I’d applied a permanent dark box dye about 6 months prior.Yesterday was my first ever appointment with Catriona and she managed to lighten my hair way above what I thought was achievable in one session. So much care is taken during the process, Catriona spent the best part of 5 hours strand by strand and now my hair is a beautiful ashy shade/silver tones. Not to mention how healthy and shiny it looks. Ultimately Catriona just wants you to leave happy with your hair and even takes time prior and throughout the process to discuss your options and what’s achievable.She is amazing at what she does but above all is such a genuine, lovely person and great to chat too.Will most definitely be booking all future appointments with her!

I am very happy with my hair cut and colour by Beth. I had been to the same hairdressers overseas for many years so it was a big deal for me to go somewhere new. But Beth was incredibly kind and reassuring. The colour is perfect and Beth made sure she gave me a cut I was happy with. The salon has a great buzzy vibe and I'm already booked back in. Highly recommended.

It is not possible to overstate how positive an experience I had with Cat from 281.From our first chat on the phone to our in person consultation before my appointment, I felt heard and understood.After recovering from a brain injury, I hadlost much of my very long hair and it lacked much volume. I had once been proud of my hair and it now felt like it would never feel that way again.Cat totally understood how much this affected me and was keen to help. There was never any pressure to make decisions, just a professional and friendly expert who genuinely cares about your result. I was so excited for my appointment and Cat did not fail to deliver. She talked me through the whole process and ensured my happiness at every stage. We chatted so naturally throughout the process.I am so delighted with my result and I have definitely found my hairdresser for life!!I’d be remiss if I didnt take time to also note that Cat is such an endearing human as well as a very talented hairdresser. She is very easy to engage with and you honestly get the sense that she cares about your hair and what you want to achieve.Thank you Cat, for giving me the hair I thought I’d never have again.This is the best decision I made for myself lately.

I had a not-so-great haircut at another hair salon so I booked an emergency appointment at 281 with Beth. I always feel nervous trying new hairdressers but the stylists at 281 are lovely people. I felt welcome from the beginning.I booked a restyle appointment with Beth and she was friendly, calm, and truly a master of her craft. My previous haircut left me with short hair with messy layers. Beth made me feel relaxed with her reassuring experience, talking me through her plan to fix my layers and shape my new short hair.Beth is so thoughtful and has a refreshingly conscientious way of cutting hair, I would highly recommend booking with her. Thanks Beth, I've had so many compliments.

Recently, I had a fantastic haircut experience at 281. It was my first time in the city, and after finding them on Instagram, I booked an appointment, and Beth was assigned for the haircut. She's an incredibly talented hairdresser who effortlessly recreated the haircut I wanted from a picture. Despite having long hair, Beth maintained the length and delivered a beautiful result. Highly recommend her for her skill and attention to detail!

I visited 281 looking for advice a few months after losing my hair to chemo. My hair had grown back curly and I was looking for some expert advice as to what to do with it. I was assigned to Devon who was amazing. She was very kind and thoughtful about my situation and obviously very knowledgeable too. She asked me if I would prefer to sit somewhere private while I take off my wig so she could assess my hair and she gave me lots of good advice and guidance as to the best way to look after my hair and my scalp while it grows back. Devon was so patient with me as she went through my options and I tried to choose what I wanted. I was kind of in denial about my limited choices but I her recommendations were spot on. I would highly recommend Devon and 281 hairdressing and I am looking forward to returning to hear what Devon can do for me with a little more hair! Thank you Devon x.

I had an appointment with Abbie because my hair was destroyed after an appointment in other salon. I can’t stress enough the amazing job that she did. My hair now looks amazing and I love the result. I still can’t believe how good it looks after going to 281. No doubts I’ll go to her everytime I have to have my hair done from now on.
