Greendown Shepherd Huts

My wife and I do lots of research when it comes to our purchases. We very rarely buy on impulse. This was the case when we ordered our Shepherd Hut from Greendown. Firstly, their huts seemed to be what we were looking for. Secondly, we were invited to create our own bespoke hut to best suit our needs. So, 16 months on from their incredibly efficient delivery and installation of our bespoke hut, we are actually sitting in its doorway, wine in hand, and watching the sun set over our garden. Do we have a huge garden? No, we have a plot, which is a third of an acre including the house, but with well thought out siting and landscaping, the hut nestles into our garden as if it’s always been there. We use it as a studio, my wife and I are retired and are now keen artists, we use it as a summer house, or just somewhere to sit, as tonight, and just ponder over a barbecue and a glass or two. But, also, we have family with young children, and although we love them to bits, we simply move out of the house and into Bluebell, the hut, when they visit and everything is just fine and dandy. We have bathroom with fantastic shower, a fridge for a restorative wine or two, a wee galley kitchen for the occasional meal, a superb bed, and all in such a small package. The quality of the hut is second to none, and our use of it far exceeds our expectations. During lockdown, it was our staycation refuge and sanity installer, and we really could not have bought better, either in concept or in use. We had our house valued for insurance purposes recently as we have been here for 29 years. The surveyor commented that the hut had significantly added to its value. …….Yes, we are more than pleased with the investment, and it is so much more flexible than something like a conservatory, particularly on a house as old as ours.

Spoke with Jordan last week about purchasing a Shepherd hut from Greendown and came away from the call feeling super excited about expanding our air BnB business in Devon. I came across Greendown Shepherd Huts by chance, having spent a number of months exploring what other shepherd hut makers had to offer. Having come very close to purchasing one from another firm, I stumbled across Greendown and never looked back. I received my shepherd hut in February 2020 and I am over the moon with it. The craftsmanship is superb. The little touches/finishes make a huge difference. I was able to personalize it with my own choice of colour for the internal and external paintwork, roof colour, kitchen style, shelving, shower room etc. The underfloor heating adds a luxurious touch to it. My shepherd hut had to fit in a fairly tight space and the team worked extremely hard to get it lifted and positioned safely. Prior to receiving it - my queries were answered promptly and I was kept well informed as to its progress. I have received many compliments about it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Greendown.

After staying in one of these huts that was actually built by Greendown, it was clear to me that I wanted to own one, as I walked into it, the finishes, the comfort and the unique style inside and out won my heart! After my stay I arranged to go and meet the greendown team who are all polite, friendly and very knowledgeable with the huts they’re building. Not long after being shown around the show huts i was placing my order and got very excited choosing some of the final touches that my Hut is going to be finished with! can’t wait for it to arrive and have it on Air bnb for guests to enjoy as much I did! Greendown Shepherd Huts have given us a 5* service from start to finish. We have purchased four Shepherd Huts in total (1 Single, 3 Double) for our resort and everything from the planning to the delivery, has been first class with no complications. My husband & I were looking for a company to design a shepherd hut for us. By chance I came across Greendown. There were so many companies to choose from. We went to view a couple but something kept drawing me back to Greendown web site, so we booked a visit. At the end of the tour at Greendown, we knew we had already decided they were the company to make our hut. We purchased a Shepherds Hut from Greendown Shepherds hut earlier in the year and have been using it as a holiday let. We have had great success with this venture, and all our guests have commented on the amazing workmanship of the Shepherds Hut. The standard and detail of the Shepherds Hut is top class. We dealt with Harry, who was really friendly and helpful, and he actually makes, markets and sells these amazing huts himself. We really liked the fact that we could add our input and design into the hut, so that we had it just the way we wanted. A definite 5 star service and product.
