Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences we had. Firstly, the place is extremely noisy. Even though we asked for a quiet room - both of us were accommodated at the loud part of the student dorms. We had to simply bag to move to a different room - which was even more noisy... Secondly, the rooms were very dirty - and the shower did not worked. So overall - service was bad and we felt like we are being ignored and mistreated as guests. We would definitely would NOT recommend for anyone to stay at the Brooks house.

Good place to study

Me and some friends sat on the lovely outdoor picnic benches in the evening. The area is very spacious and has 2 barbecues, although we didn't use, them and a lovely decorative buffer from a train station. Toilet facilities seem to be lacking in that they're only available if the bar is open (rarely) or you live here (I dont). There's also a door which is inconveniently locked that adds no security but only inconvenience.Update 14/12/21 - porters are Very friendly

I live in illingworth grove behind the accommodation and its disgusting to hear what e do and in to the early hours e work and have to be up early no respect atal and no respect for covid by them in large numbers yet we cant utter disgusting

Rat infestation and smells of urine. We have had to place rat traps all over our room and the cupboards in the kitchen
