I came at the bell totally randomly, after a night spent in an hotel in Tring, I am so glad I came here. This is the best pub food that I tried after 5 years living and exploring England !!

Came with friends, sat in garden - really nice. Went to order food at 8.15pm (menu said food served till 9pm) to be told the kitchen had closed! Really disappointing experience!

Food ordered - ploughman’s really poor value and scant amounts given. Ate it but would never recommend. Very poor.Service a bit hit and miss but when we had attention it was very good.Staff may be congregating for a reason but customer service is priority I’m sure?Tea pot 1/2 filled so we asked for more water then realised a big crack in the first tea pot, pointed it out to team member. We had a good time and are pleased we tried the Bell but I would not recommend or come back.

Food was tasty, staff were friendly apart from when we walked in - 3 different people ignored us but this seems to be the normal these days - but once we had been acknowledged the staff were lovely. I found it very expensive for what we have, the starters were expensive for a very small amount of food. For a couple, we paid £70 for a starter, roast and a bowl of ice cream - which personally I think is a lot for a pub lunch. I know pubs are struggling but it's just not affordable for people these days. There were good menu choices for vegetarians and children.

Been here many times since they opened! It's so different from what the bell used to be. And that's a good thing! Before it was a bit run down, grotty and unfortunately attracted the wrong people. NOW it's fantastic, clean and Friendly!Great, knowledgeable staff, fantastic food. Zero complaints!

Came in for a drink, Farr brew on tap and hence many good options! Garden is quite nice as well. Can’t comment on the food though …

I had originally aimed to go to a different pub in the area but that one seemed quite rowdy at the time. Popped into the Bell for some grub and was pleasantly surprised. Star of the show was the salted caramel ice cream!

This is a recently refurbished town pub where they have done a good job - affiliated to Farr Brewery, I believe.Food is excellent: varied menu and good portions.Excellent choice of beers: Farr brewery selection terrific.Fairly large and pleasant beer garden at rear. There is plenty of free parking nearby.Staff are friendly and helpful.
