Take Time Out Motorhome Rentals

We had a fantastic time in out motorhome! I would highly recommend Take Time out Rentals as the vans are so well equipped - better equipped than any other we have used or seen so far. TTO also refill the gas for you, which makes things so much easier and the gas lasts AGES, we used it a lot over the week and it was still half full when we handed her back. No problem getting Camilla through the Applecross pass either - she is big but has a good turning circle and is steady on the road. thanks again for a great holiday adventure! Will be using again. First time in a Motorhome and we were not disappointed. Hired the lovely Lydia for the month of July. What a great experience and adventure. Great customer service from TTO and no problem contacting, always happy to assist. We went to the Outer Hebrides and the North of Scotland, it was absolutely amazing. Very comfy bed in the Motorhome, everything was just perfect. Our wee dog Freddie loved the Motorhome too. Would highly recommend TTO, very efficient and reliable service. Made our first experience of hiring a Motorhome all the more enjoyable, Rab was on hand to answer any questions we had.....and we had a few on our travels as it was all new to us. We had Camilla for a week and had a great first experience with a motorhome holiday. Touring around the west coast, Skye and Mull couldn't have been easier and more relaxing at the same time. One of main the reasons we chose TTO was that they are dog friendly.Rab explains everything before you set off and surprisingly after a few miles Camilla is easy to drive and manoeuvre around the Scottish roads.I would highly recommend TTO from the Initial booking process all the way through to the final handover, Rab left his mobile number with us incase we incurred any problems.Thanks to team TTO we had a great time Kevin, Jayne and Daisy.

No notification of van change to one we originally booked. Main door wouldn't open from outside. Awning had been ripped off. We agreed to change of van as it had an awning. So no shade for dogs. No notification of this before collection. I could have made provisions for them.Van smelled of rotten eggs from gas. Had to turn off. Grill dirty and area under microwave covered in food. Very disinterested in these problems. What we paid for wasn't what we got. Very disappointed but no apologies from TTO. Would not .reccommend . Unprofessional set up......Well to your reply. Camilla that we booked originally, according to previous pictures did have an awning??? I asked Rab to check over van before we left. He wasn't going to until I insisted! There was no damage my me, I can assure you and he agreed all OK. Funny how the van wasnt washed before we collect it!! Notification as I said would have been appreciated regarding the awning!!!!! We only took the alternative because it had an awning. TTO are just trying to fob off our complaints. Check you motor certificate regarding the van in the folder. Outdated in June 2023!! There's obviously a problem with the gas somewhere.. You can't even apologise for the dirty grill and microwave area?!

Highly recommend renting out a motorhome from TTO. We rented Phoebe for a week to do the NC500 and it was exactly what we wanted. The vehicle came with pretty much everything you’d need and got a great walk round and explanation on collection day. 100% recommend if you’re looking for a great staycation.

Just returned from a fantastic few days away with Camilla, we couldn’t have been happier, it was perfect!Spotlessly clean, easy to drive and more than enough room for the 2 of us and our wee dog Ruby.We chose to sleep on the make-up bed in the seating area and keep the over-cab bed for storage. (It would be a perfect size for a family of 4 if you were to use the over-cab bed)Would highly recommend Take Time Out Rentals to anyone who is looking to hire a motorhome and will definitely use them again in the future.Many thanksMatt, Jen & Ruby.

Absolutely fabulous motor home company! We rented Lydia which was not only lovely to look at but so comfy and had great mod cons. Rab and Merlyn the owners are wonderful and really know their stuff! Really recommend and can’t wait to rent a camper from them again.

Huge thanks to the team at Take Time Out for allowing us to take Phoebe to France and for all their help in ensuring she was set up for driving in Europe. Had an excellent two weeks family holiday. Phoebe is a comfortable easy to drive & use camper that suited us very well. We travelled to the south of France and back via Mont Saint Michel & the beaches of Normandy. Phoebe doesn't have air conditioning but we managed fine without by taking a couple of fans. Happy to recommend Take Time Out for your own adventures wherever you may want to go!

We have just had a wonderful 3 day break in Lydia going up to Inverness, down to Fort William on to Pitlochry and home again. We had wonderful weather, the bed is super comfy and the service from Rab and Merlyn was superb. I would highly recommend them and definitely use them again.
