Camp Canada will help all of the placements, and facilitate getting you a job at a camp you can trust. Now that they don’t charge a fee there isn’t a down side to using them.

After hearing about this opportunity from my cousin, I did a little research and decided to commit. This was seriously the coolest thing I have ever done in my life and I am extremely grateful. The process is simple and everyone at camp Canada is super helpful. If you're looking for the adventure of a life time, this is it!

Camp Canada is a great place to start your Canadian adventure! I was so happy with the camp I got connected with and I got to enjoy so much about my summer. It even inspired me to stay in Canada longer! They gave great info on what to expect throughout the process, and the camp that reached out to me was also super engaging. I felt supported throughout the process.

Camp Canada
Heard about Camp Canada from some friends at university, which intrigued me initially. Truly loved my experience with Camp Canada, affordable, engaging and incredibly customer care. The ability to ring up an advisor at any time is invaluable, and they help you through the whole application process, summer and beyond. Would recommend highly. Best memory from the summer would be running a marathon with a friend I made out there!

My experience with Camp Canada has been great so far. I heard about Camp Canada through word of mouth as well as seeing it on social media. Before I decided to apply, I went to the jobs fair in Dublin earlier this year where I was offered a job placement as a counsellor at a camp in British Columbia. I then began my online profile journey including my application submission. This was quite easy as the website is very specific and informative. During this process I received communication from the camp and did an interview with one of the members of Camp Canada, who eased any of my worries in regards to my placement. Now, I look forward to working with all the campers and counsellors alike as well as having the opportunity for professional development and growth.

Working with Camp Canada was an amazing experience from start to finish which I will keep for the rest of my life. Highly would recommend this opportunity to anyone looking to spend the summer in Canada and to also make some amazing friends. The company was very supportive during the documentation process and also during the summer itself. Go for it!

Camp Canada
I heard about Camp Canada from a close friend who had a really good experience, for me, before camp they were pretty supportive, they really helped me with all thePaperwork and the work placements, I had a few problems with the camp and the flights and it took a while before camp Canada stepped in.We had a contact person in Camp Canada and after we arrived to camp he didn't talk to me *at all*, not a word, after a month in camp we had someone coming in which was nice but she didn't really help.Overall they were fine, but I'm not so sure if I'd want to work with them again

For 560 euros, the service they provide is really lacking. My biggest issue with Camp Canada is the advice they gave me for extending my status as a visitor in Canada; my work permit said I had to leave Canada by 23rd of August, but I needed to stay until the 25th as this was when my flight home was. I emailed them the same day I got my permit (18th of June) and asked how to go about extending my time in Canada, they just said they'd be sending out an email in July about how to do this. So I waited until then, got the email, then started trying to apply. It took a lot of hours over a couple days to finish the whole process, mostly because Camp Canada were unable to help with my questions. Anytime I asked them some specific question about the application, they'd just send me a link to an article in their knowledge base that didn't answer my question or they'd say they aren't sure. I really wasn't impressed by those responses, surely they've had a lot of customers with my situation over the years, I don't know how none of them were able to help me with it. When I did eventually finish it up, I was really stressed that it wouldn't even arrive, since the IRCC recommends allowing 2 months for the processing time and I only had 1 month since they only sent out the email in July. It eventually arrived on the very last day of camp, they really cut it fine by sending that email out so late.I feel like they should've been a bit more helpful about sorting out a phone plan for Canada as well. They didn't really seem to know much about buying Canadian SIM cards, so I got a lot of nasty surprises that were difficult to deal with when I learned about the Canadian mobile network prices and payment methods first-hand while at camp. They should get past participants to write advice on how they dealt with this for future participants, I feel like something as important as staying connected to your friends and family shouldn't be as overlooked as it is.Another issue that I feel needs to be mentioned is that the camp I was matched to did not suit the camp types on my application. I specifically remember not picking single gendered or rustic camps on my application, but the camp I was hired by was an all boys rustic camp, and I didn't even know it was a rustic camp until I got to Canada and found out I wasn't allowed to take showers. I feel like it was a big oversight to not mention this to me or other participants before going over, I decided to stay but it was a deal breaker for other employees at the camp who also did not know about the shower situation before arriving. On the other hand, they did a good job sorting out the documentation for my work permit before I went over, and the discounts they had for the hostels in Toronto were really good.Excluding the cost of insurance (~200 euro) from their price, paying 360 euro for sorting out some work permit documents, getting you a job that doesn't match your preferences and some discounts on hostels you might not use is not a great deal in my opinion. I had to figure out a lot of important and difficult stuff by myself while I was in Canada, which I really didn't have the time or mobile data allowance for doing. Camp Canada really should be able to support their participants better in the areas I mentioned above, it was really stressful to deal with alone, particularly trying to stay in Canada for longer after finishing work and trying to get a Canadian phone plan to work at camp.
