Bill Plant Driving School Edinburgh

Good driving school, instructor was a little bit late for a few lessons but always turned up and was chilled & patient. I passed first time so was happy.

Made a booking for a so called free lesson...Set the date&time for it,two days later got a text from some guy asking what date&time I'm available. I've confirmed the previous times... a day before my lesson got a text from the same guy saying 'he's unavailable' and 'What time I can do next'.......

I'm traumatised after the experience with this school. Instructor Scott Hossack scammed me. School advised me to make a payment to the instructor. He took money for a block of 10 lessons , then cancelled scheduled lesson due to flat tire. After that he stopped answering the phone. When I've contacted the school I'be been advised that as per terms and conditions there is nothing they can do and that the refund must come from driver. They were unfriendly and unhelpful, they didn't contact with Scott for explanation and probably he is still teaching for them. This situation costed me lost of money and stress. Now I'm afraid to start driving again with different instructor. Disgraceful ! This is not the school this is agency for scammers! If you know Scott Hossack you can tell him he's a thief.

Gordon who teaches in Edinburgh area continually told me I had given him the wrong information about when I was free, when lessons were booked and even when my test was booked... what a joke! Had to re-book my test 2 times due to total lack of communication and him not being able to use a diary successfully. He was a good instructor and did teach me a lot but the organisation was shocking. Passed my test today in my own car as Gordon was unable to make the test after it being booked and in the diary over 2 months ago.

Awful service. Instructor took ages to respond to messages and eventually ran with the money I paid upfront for lessons. Currently following up with the police and DVSA. Avoid this driving school!

Having failed the test 4 times with my previous instructor.then I began learning with bill Plant. SCOTT HOSSACK was my instructor.he helped me to build confidence.he is very patient and is great at explaining things.he got me up to test level and passed my test first time on 14/6 .

Scummy driving school, wish I read reviews as it seems I’m not the first. Instructor booked my lessons the night before, then didn’t refund me when I couldn’t do them with such late notice. Wasn’t refunded for hours of credit. Instructor didn’t contact me for weeks within lessons. Awful driving experience too.

The instructor, Scott, kept cancelling on me week after week (usually car problems were given as the cause), once only 3 minutes before the lesson start (yup, you guessed it... car issue!). Wasted months of my time, 2 stars because the school issued a refund in the end but... Just pick somebody with better work ethic TBH, plenty of schools out there.

Wonderful Driving School,both school & instructor were very good & honest ; they helped me to build confidence. I would definitely recommend BILL PLANT DRIVING SCHOOL Edinburgh.

This is a disgraceful company to deal with. We booked 6 block booked lesson for our Neice for her 18th Birthday. This was paid up front to a contractor appointed by Bill Plant. First two lessons were cancelled by the instructor last minute, after that we could not get in contact with him for about 2 weeks. After leaving several messages, we arranged 3rd appointment, he didn't show up. Tried to get back in contact with him to no success. Contacted Bill Plant to ask for our money back as the contractor who they provided was unacceptable. To which they replied that he resigned from the company, when we ask for the money they told us that it was nothing to do with Bill Plant and that they I had to contact the contractor or the police to try and get our money back. Bill Plant take no responsibility for the contractors they provide and they don't provide contractors for nothing so they must have pocketed some of our money. This company has left me bitter and very wary about paying anything up front again. This was in the terms and conditions of Bill Plant driving school. Enough to put you off driving forever. I repeat disgraceful, you have been warned.
