From not monitoring queue numbers so leaving people waiting for an hour and a half just to get turned away, to incredibly slow bar staff resulting in vast drinks queues, one realises that were it not for monopoly power, the Student Union bar would have been out of business years ago. With the university's plans to increase student numbers 3-fold and the demolition of Medicine impending, expect it to get worse. A lot worse.

Bar staff are painfully incompetent and unintelligent. Racist security couldn’t be more rude if they tried. DJs are even worse than both of them somehow.

Met with Phil (Volunteers Manager) and a local artist to discuss collaboration on an arts project. Great prices and lovely staff but seating not very comfortable for long meetings!
