Station House Campsea Ashe

What a gem. Great little drop off for refreshment. Spotlessly clean, polite staff, superb butties and drinks. The place is even very educational with photos and a slideshow detailing the history of the line and station etc. Would use again for certain. Only drops a single star as in my honest opinion the extraction is really poor for the kitchen. Very strong smell of cooking oil and quite foggy in there. I could still smell frying oil and bacon on my clothes and skin hours later and my hair was the same (not good for interviews) That said its a superb spot for a cuppa or a snack.

Great tasting Crude coffee, friendly staff nice indoor and outdoor seating.

A lovely station with excellent cafe, ‘proper’ coffee, cooked breakfasts and service with a smile!We noticed the building was really nicely decorated and freshly painted so clearly was getting more love than a regular station. Upon seeing it has been a community/charity effort I can see why. Well done everyone, my new favourite station!

Was waiting 10 minutes to be served when the lady serving stood there talking to the customers in front of me I wasn’t till a male server came along and served me that I was actually served, nearly missed my train whilst this was going on.

Beautiful cafe with really polite staff and great customer service. My partner and I had an hour to pass before our train departed so we were able to have a bite to eat. 2 fantastic bacon and egg rolls, a light and delicious piece of Victoria sandwich each and the best cup of hot chocolate I've had out. Well done to all concerned. (free WiFi available too)

A wonderful place that came as a complete surprise while visiting the nearby auctioneer. I had decided to travel by train as the A12 is not known for being a particularly relaxing experience. So arriving at this haven of peace and serenity - after the savouring the bucolic treat that was the rail journey from Ipswich - was simply wonderful ...As if all of that wasn't enough the bacon rolls in the café are unbeatable. There is such a wonderfully calming ambience in the restored station building that I actually let one of the hourly trains returning to Ipswich go simply to enjoy the place a little longer before returning to the frantic pace that's modern life...You might conclude from this review that ' I quite enjoyed my visit '......You would not be wrong...

Cakes are great, staff could be more welcoming

Stopped during Audax Cycling Event, cake and coffee wonderful as were all the staff definitely will be revisiting.

Welcome oasis after a long walk. Interesting displays about the history of the station. Clean and bright sitting area. Reasonably priced food and drink. Excellent hot bacon sandwich
