A wonderful Pub with Super food. We stopped in on our way to the cottage, well worth a visit. Lovely staff and great atmosphere with some amazing views as well

We stopped for a quick lunch and some beer tasting when hiking through Northumberland. The food is nice, especially the onion soup, and their beer selection on tap is really great. There’s also a bottle shop which is great for souvenirs as their beer is only sold through the local retailers.

Great pub to quench your thirst after walking Hadrians Wall. Has a separate tap room where their specials are served. Large indoor space and even larger outdoor space with plenty of seating. We didn't eat, but the menu looked good. Dog and child friendly. Some great beers on tap.

Came here on firework night with family.Once belonged to my uncle many many moons ago, so was nostalgic for me and a little family history for my daughter.The place was packed! We were placed right in the middle of the floor by the bar, which we wouldn't do again, but we were happy to be here so we didn't mind so much. Staff were rushed off their feet and the wait for our food was very long. But with the number of people it didn't surprise me!Due to the waiting times and not wanting to miss the display we left our table and went outside to watch the fireworks which certainly didn't disappoint. They were brilliant. And the atmosphere was amazing!Came back inside at the end to find our food at the table. Food was lovely. The sycamore gap ale was lovely. We will be back, hopefully for Christmas fayre x

Called in for Sunday lunch after visiting Hadrians Wall and glad we did. It was fairly quiet but can Imagine it gets very busy. Nice welcome from staff lovely warm fire and great beers. Meat cut thickly and nice selection of veg served separately, shame we were driving and couldn't try more of the beers. Deserts looked lovely but to full to fit one in.

A little bit expensive, and 10% Service charges. The car park needs £1 per hrs. But overall the food quality is high. The beer is great, the atmosphere is excellent.

Stopped buy for a quick cold drink after a very hot walk along. Steel rig on Hadrian's wall was very impressed with the bar. The range of beers available and all the amenities will definitely be going back

Excellent place, rooms snug but comfy, food was beautiful, drinks from there own brewery was lovely, we done the tasting session in the brewery shop which was a great way to try some of there own beers. The food in the restaurant was also very nice. We all tried something different, and everyone loved it. We will be going back again.

The food was fantastic from the evening meal to the breakfast the following day.The service was absolutely first class. So friendly and helpful.100% recommended.
