I can’t comment on fitting or quality as our experience with A.S.T ended at a quote. I will say that the gentleman that measured our home was professional and polite.We went into the showroom with the floor plan to our home wanting a quote. I will start by saying that the floorplan did not include measurements for bathrooms, hall, stairs or landing, but did include all other rooms and an overall square metre size of the ground and first floor. We were given a quote written up on a business card and were told that the exact quote could not be given until the house had been properly measured by their staff. I confirmed at this time that the quote included all materials, including underlay, and fitting. We were told that it did. We completely understood and accepted that the final quote would be given upon proper measurements being taken. However, we were told that the quote we were given was a ‘worst case scenario’ and that it would mostly likely come down. We had worked out our finances based on this ‘worst case scenario’ figure and added additional on for uplift. When we were then given our final quote, we were shocked to hear that it was almost £500 more than the ‘worst case scenario’ quote originally given. When I went back into the showroom to discuss this, I felt that the staff were mostly defensive rather than apologetic for this. A member of staff explained that staff are told not to use phrases like ‘worst case scenario’ and that the staff member in question would be spoken to. But that doesn’t change the fact that we are now unable to do what we wanted to do in our home due to basing our finance on the ‘worst case scenario’. I also walked away from the show room feeling as though I was in the wrong for taking the estimated quote seriously.I am so disappointed by my experience based on the positive feedback on here.

AST did their best to make me feel at ease when I my to get pricing following a visit to my home by their surveyor. The lady who calculated prices for me was very thorough and explained all the options available, showing great patience when I kept asking for add-ons and changes. We eventually reached a price which was well within my budget and I hope to be able to get the work started as soon as the decorators have finished. I was very impressed by the knowledge and professionalism shown by all staff and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who needs their hand tightly held during the whole carpet-buying process.

I love this company, been using them for a number of years, recommended them to all my family and friends. They know the true meaning of customer service. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Always a pleasure to deal with A.S.T. Floorcoverings Ltd.

Fantastic from start to finish. The process of calling them when you arrive and sanitising when entering the store due to COVID made us feel very at ease knowing they had a strict process in place which is great to see.We primarily dealt with Lorna who was a pleasure to deal with, very knowledgeable and matched our requirements exactly. The fitters were very thorough and efficient and the standard of when they had finished was excellent. Couldn't recommend enough and will definitely be using again.

Really pleased with the overall service I have received from AST. Everyone is helpful within the store. The men who came to fit the carpet (I didn’t catch their names sorry!) we’re so friendly and efficient, and did a great job. I had my flooring measured, quote drawn up, and fitted all within a week and this was for 5 rooms. Will definitely use again for the last room I need to complete. Great price as well, couldn’t believe how affordable it was. Flooring looks wonderful. Thank you so much.

Highly recommend. AST's turn around from ordering to fitting is quick, good quality carpets and the fitters were really good.

Have used AST Carpets for many years for both our projects and own properties, We regularly price check all of our suppliers and they are always well priced, Fitters are good and happy to make the job go as smoothly as possible.Would recommend to friends!

My 80 year old mother bought vinyl and paid for fitting" on the day of the "fitting" she was informed that they "just went round" appliances and would not move them to fit it properly. That's bad enough but they made no attempt to finish it in a neat manner.."
