A friend and I stayed here and we were scared, we booked an all girls room and got put into a room which was all males except for us two, we felt very uncomfortable and when my friend arrived for check in the person checking her in was very very rude and abrasive, no alcohol allowed on the premises and very sketchy area. Showering was so hard as well they are very limited and sub par. Have spoke to other people who have stayed in the same accommodation and have an abundance of problems with staff including intimidation over less than satisfactory reviews

Probably one of the worst hostels I’ve ever stayed at. The set up is terrible, unappealing. Small and uncomfortable kitchens, there is no where to sit. Strangest check in hours, smallest reception, worst use of space, sketchy staff, horrible kitchen smells lingering through the rooms and the whole hostel, there is absolutely no lounge/living space to just hang out. It’s a really sad and badly set up hostel. I had to sit in the stairs with people going up and down the stairs to have dinner. Also super noisy. Neighborhood is not so exciting either. On an busy street with drunk people or homeless yelling just outside. Definitely not worth any of your money, don’t waste it here. Invest in something a little pricier for your comfort.

I like the hostel mainly cuz despite the common restrooms and showers being really dirty drop the day due to everyone sharing it but that is understandable however what I somewhat dislikes that some of the showers do not provide enough water pressure do you for you to actually bathe.But despite all that the receptionist were all really respectful and nice to assist me in all my troubles.Keep in mind that there is a 24 hour 1hr bus ride from the hostel to the city centre.

The reviews made me so scared about this place but it actually exceeded expectations considering the price. Paid around 20 a night for a clean bed and room, and a great breakfast selection (cereal, toast, jam, juices, fruits, etc.). The bathroom wasn't the nicest/cleanest, but is what I would expect from a hostel at this price. The front desk men were very helpful. Meet some really cool people here too. Overall, you get what you pay for. Definitely would stay again for the price.

I visited London with my family and we booked a 4-bed room with own bathroom. The room is simple, but all clean and well prepared. We received 6 towels from a very friendly host and everybody was very open, friendly and nice.The location is quite interesting, with the bar downstairs also a bit loud, but mostly they became quiet by 11pm. Didn't bother us. For being so close to the train station East Gate & to Greenwhich it made up for it.Our receptionist Butch was major friendly, showed us a safe spot to park our car and helped with anything he could.The food offer is simple, but we could serve ourselves openly to anything we liked, from fruit, toast, peanutbutter, cheddar, eggs, ham... It was all fine & easygoing. We all liked it very much and would recommend to people who love low budget travelling!

Three ladies traveling together, we booked a room with 3 beds only. The beds were clean and I did see the sheet being laundered frequently during our 4 day stay. However, the floors were not clean, the bathrooms were so gross, dirty and smelly. There is no ventilation in the bathrooms, so by the time all of the guests are done using the available bathrooms, it smelled of old stagnant water is overpowering and I am not kiding or being dramatic when I say the smell was nauseating. There were a couple of bathrooms that were marked as such but were not functioning, reducing the number of available bathrooms. With the number of guests, the bathrooms should be cleaned more regularly throughout the day, as the conditions were unhygenic. I have stayed in several hostels and have never encounter bathrooms as dirty as these.

Not in the best location. Near a pub but that is about it. Also right beside a rock place with live music that can be heard from in the hostel. The hostel is different from their picture online, it is not even on the corner, just a small section of that building in the photo. The rooms were not anything special, a little dirty. Only one washroom per floor which is a struggle when there is like 50 people per floor. Service was unprofessional, and we were woken up in the middle of the night when the owner checked if anyone was smoking. We were also accused of leaving water on the floor, and when he checked the cameras it was not us. Free self-serve breakfast was great. In the end, you get what you pay for. Very affordable.

It’s cheap and u notice it when u arrive. My only problems were the unhygienic kitchen and bathrooms. There wasn’t paper where u can dry your hands in every bathroom and sometimes there was a dirty towel where u didn’t want to touch. Also, in the kitchen (3rd floor) there was only 2 dirty sponges that people used to wash the dishes but they were all dirty, so we didn’t eat there. Also the room was so small that the two beds where so close to each others that we couldn’t fit in the gap to use the ladder to get to the 3rd bed (highest one). We had to move the beds apart but then the door couldn’t fully be opened… also there weren’t garbage cans in the room’s which was a bummer because there was so much garbage in the floor. It was also really noticeable that the same people were living there for months because they were the uncleaniest ones. There was 9 beds but there was more flip flops in the corners and we agreed with other roommates that this place hasn’t been properly cleaned in a while. We only spoke to the manager and he was really easygoing and kind person, we didn’t really see other staff or spoke to them. If you are on a budget trip, u will manage here but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this to my friends.

Since a week I am staying at this place and I gotta say that my experience with this hostel is positive. I would like to say huge thanks to Tim the receptionist who welcomed us in our first day in positive way and took care of us by going above and beyond, Valentin the Hostel manager who is friendly and helpful person, Butch who is always around to help you so you feel secured and comfortable. Thank you guys for your extreme attention and for caring as your friend.

Receptionist should be fired. Rudest person I have ever meant. Multiple people told me the exact same thing. Each person had a issue with the evening receptionist. Threatened me with trespassing just because another employee let me in the common area before check in. They also change the code to the door randomly. Beds are so squeaky anytime a person slightly moved also and shakes the whole bed. All bathrooms have mold in the them. Not enough bathrooms for the the amount of people there. Bar right underneaths the hostel which isn’t there’s that plays music which shakes the building. Ridiculous rules for no reason. The place acts as if it’s a dictatorship. Just skip this place and head to any other seriously. Also they are not “40- 200% cheaper then other places such as they claim. They also check each person that leaves a review and checks there profiles which should be a invasion of privacy. Looks like a crack house also. Paint splattered on floors. Mold in bathrooms toilets don’t flush properly. Should I keep going.
