Friendly staff, quick and effective technique through years of doing the job. Rare to find a traditional barber and one that's so great with kids as my 3 year-old had his hair cut too for the first time in a real shop.

Just turn up, sit on the comfy settee till it's your turn, get a good haircut and grab a jelly baby as you leave. Wonderful!

Took my little boy here for a haircut. My son isn't quite 2 yet and wasn't the most cooperative but the barber was great with him. He talked to him throughout even though my son barely says a word, but that helped a lot as he understands so much. The barber was really reassuring throughout the cut, and knew just when to stop so as not to put him off having his hair cut again. I was thoroughly impressed with the understanding and professional nature displayed here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Awful attitude when my wife took my son back to them to correct a mistake they had made (realised after we left). Gordon said she was OTT and refused to correct the cut.I was a regular, but I won't be going back.

Hands down, no question the best, most welcoming and most convenient barber shop in the area. As someone afflicted with acute anxiety, haircuts have always been a nightmare for me, but the affability and wit of messrs Snips unfailingly puts me at ease. Also there are jelly babies.
