A beautiful campus, which i studied at for 2 years. Got exactly where i want to be by studying my diploma here. Staff were amazing, nothing was ever a problem. You get out what you put in. After failing a-levels, i am now going on to study veterinary medicine, which I put down to my lecturers and lots of practical experience within my course.

Not going to lie, i did learn somethings and teachers are nice, but! Theres a lot of issues here... for example...I went to Otley Campus, in my 1st year out tutor had favouritism and did not accept relationships, if there was relationships we had to be secret even on breaks and I was very upset by the care of the animals too.2nd year... some of my teachers left due to amount of students there was, not a single teacher chased up where these missing students were and didnt try to pursuade them to come ro class but knowing the fact that there was just me in the class and tutor left was unfair for me as a student for wanting to learn.3rd year was a good year but we had no dogs to groom and i did the same groom throughout he whole year and being asked as students to find dogs was very unprofessional, we are here to learn and was not easy for those who dont live nearby, for example I live in another county. As a college i believe the tutors needs to start teaching and organise better.

Haven’t really had the best time at this place, especially when the college forced me onto a level 2 Horticulture course as I had a low place in the grading systemA lot of the teachers especially on my course are sort of average and can’t take note that I struggleas I am a novice in a lot of areas. The new principal is a bit meh(not very good) when it comes to controlling cuts and getting rid off my favourite lunchtime food of walls pastries, not to mention the new logo looks more like something made in minecraft.

My son practices football here over the winter or if the pitches have been water logged. Some great facilities I didn't even know existed. Tennis courts, AstroTurf pitches, great views and stables.

Went for an open day today, the area is lovely but that’s pretty much it.I was being toured in the Specialist Education area where people with learning disabilities would go.The teachers don’t respect the students in any way that would prepare them for adult independent life, for instance they would bend down to communicate, talking to the parent(s) about an “issue” i’m having while i’m literally in the room at the table trying to explain myself, being told to and unnecessarily pressured into playing a game I don’t understand and clearly don’t want to do, and being “told off” like i’m a stubborn 8 year old because I needed to go and take a breather. It made me feel claustrophobic, my tutor literally said something like “coming to this college is supposed to mean being more mature, but it’s not seeming like you are being very mature, and it makes me wonder whether you are ready to be here.”This is in response to the fact I walked off to go back to the bistro to see my mum because I was overwhelmed. I took myself out of a situation because I felt upset and stressed, which is completely the mature thing to do. This was my first ever day seeing this college and being talked to like that especially by my tutor really put me off.Not to mention that a “tractor ride” I went on was actually being put on the back of a massive trailer, crammed in with up to 30 people, arm to arm, literally so crowded like refugees being illegally transported. Being asked if I was okay in front of all those people by a teacher as well? Like I wasn’t ok but I’m not going to admit that in front of 30 people, it just feels disrespectful of my individuality and you don’t get talked to like an adult unless you are a full blown adult with like 3 kids. Freaking sucks.

Very disorganised. We spent the first year preparing for the next level, to then be told on the last week of college that the next level will not be running to our surprise so we had to organise further educatuon last minute ourselves. Pastoral care was good however, tutors would complain about the job to students during lesson time which we found unprofessional and time wasting. Hopefully the merge will mean improvements because it offers a wide range of career choices that aren't found in conventional colleges.
