FAST-LANE MECHANICS - Bishops Stortford, Stansted, Little Hadham, Dunmow

Short version: After the state they returned my car in, I wouldn't trust these guys to work on a bicycle. Steer clear of these cowboys.Long version: The clutch slave cylinder failed in my car and these guys replaced a 3 piece clutch, but I guess didn't think it was necessary to put everything back together once they were done. They left an oil breather pipe disconnected and unsupported, wiring loom dangling unsupported, air intake pipe not secured, air filter box broken, wheel trim broken. They were supposed to send someone out to have a look at it, no one turned up. I ended up having to secure the wiring loom, pipes and air filter box as best I can myself.And to make things worse, after securing the now broken airfilter box so it's no longer rattling against the body of the car, I can now notice a noise from somewhere else that I can't quite identify. Couldn't hear it at first because of the broken air box. All I know is this noise wasn't there before they worked on my car. I'm now thinking that there's probably more bits they've not put back together properly that just aren't immediately visible to me from within the engine bay, and I'm probably going to need to spend more money to have another mechanic try to figure out what's been messed up.So, all in all, a terrible experience using these guys. Would strongly recommend against using them.

Had a spot of bother on the way to work but I called them up and they came out to fix it no trouble. All repaired before I had to go home. Excellent, I was really pleased and I'd happily recommend them.

Called Fast Lane, arrived the next day, diagnosed the fault, ordered the part and repaired the car the following day. What else can one ask for. Definitely recommend. Thanks guys.

Can’t recommend these guys highly enough - had a clutch arm failure so had that and the clutch replaced and now like a new car .5 star service don’t hesitate to use them
