Public Art - The Highcross Beacons

The Beacons are located within the Highcross Shopping Centre, Leicester. They are located in the centre of St. Peter's Square (off Bath House Lane, Leicester) and were completed in 2016.They comprise seven interactive digital columns which were commissioned to provide Highcross with an innovative piece of public artwork that would become a new landmark for the Centre and the City.Each seven metre high column has digital screens on three of its four sides displaying a wide variety of changing images and animation including film footage from local events and community groups across the region and social media.
