Before instructing Quilliam, we'd met with several local agents. What made us choose Julia and her team was their down to earth, unpretentious, yet positive approach to selling our home. In deciding on the asking price, Julia shared her experience but also listened to us, and we arrived at a buoyant but realistic strategy together. After signing up, the team all visited to familiarise themselves and to understand any unique benefits of our home to help conversations with prospective buyers. After two busy weeks of viewings, we were under offer with a buyer that was excited and committed to buy, that understood our position and was willing to be patient while we worked on our onward purchase. This all lead to a smooth sale right through to completion. I viewed a property to rent last month and made an offer immediately, for the full amount, which was accepted. I completed the referencing and was told everything was in order for me to move in on the agreed date.I started getting nervous when I had to keep chasing Quilliam for updates and a contract. All they told me was “don’t worry, the landlord just lives abroad and often takes time to reply”. After several days of chasing, I received a phone call the day before my move date, informing me the landlord had decided to go with a different tenant.There should not be a different tenant when my offer had been accepted. This was never communicated to me and all I was told was “sorry for any confusion.”I am now homeless, as the one day Quilliam left me with was not enough time to find somewhere new. I have had to put my things in storage and am sleeping on the sofa of a very kind friend who has taken me in. I have had to quit my job because the sofa I now live on is too far from work.I don’t believe for a minute that this was an innocent mistake by Quilliam. They purposefully misled me, causing immense disruption and difficulty. They will do the same to you. They don’t care about you and have no morals or common decency. Do not trust them.

What a breathe of fresh air ! The personal service not the normal you are just a number ... The viewing was done in a slow take your time manor you are not rushed and left thinking are they going to turn up on time , the paper work phone calls everything done perfect these people rewrite the book when it comes to estate agents.
