It's my local hardware shop I find them always helpful and the prices on some of the items can be half the cost as b&q. They also sell timber at very good prices. They have helped me out on many occasions. I would recommend.

Very helpful staff. A tiny bit cheaper but not too much savings when u actually come to paying. Can be busy st times and you can feel ignored but that's just bad customer service due to being a family business. They are very good with information and helping with working out measurements and prices.

Great little space to get your last minute DIY stuff. Prices are affordable. Genuinely look after you and help you out. Last minute delivery always appreciated.

Had to find something to seal my heating pipes as a precautionary measure and wasn't really sure what to buy, the gentleman was kind enough to look at a couple of pictures and listen to what I was after and offered some friendly advice. Found a suitable fix and was easy enough to use so thank you for your help. Didn't try to flog me any thing expensive or over the top as I'm a newbie at DIY.

After visiting several large DIY stores to try and purchase 500mm mono bloc tails I was at my wits end. The mono bloc tails that came with my new tap were way to short to reach the copper pipes. I was given other flexible pieces that I could join on to my flexy tails but when I tried this at home either one end or the other didn't fit, so I ended up taking them back. Eventually I found AK Hardware and Plumbing centre which was not too far from my home. Having explained my situation the owner knew exactly what I needed and supplied me with the correct flexible pieces. He showed me what I needed to do and said if I needed too I could come back and try something else. Later that day I phoned him to thank him for his help and that finally I had managed to plumb my new tap in with no leaks. I can't speak highly enough about the owner and the help that was given to me. I would definitely recommend this shop as not only does it appear to have everything you could want but also free advice.
