Register Office

I just used the telephone replacement certificate service. The recorded message explained that they were busy and that it could take up to 10 mins to answer. It actually took 7mins and was well worth the wait. The lady that dealt with me was friendly, efficient and carefully summarised all my details before we ended the call. What a very good service!

my son missed out on getting a job today as they turned us down at the door saying they are closed because of Covid 27/09/21 everything else is back in full swing but these guys are better than everyone else it seems. This is a public service paid for by my taxes but inaccessible to me as they wont even answer the phone to book an appointment. I called for 2 hourse no answer. I want my Taxes back!

Booked an appointment on the 22nd of April a day after the birth of my son to register him. He is 9 week old to date. Website states due to COVID regulations only one parent is aloud into the building with the appointed child. Bring all necessary documentation needed.Only to have my partner text me because I work through the day, same as any other person. Saying that because it was booked in my name and not hers they couldn’t do anything and asked for her to leave the building.I find this to be absolutely outrageous. Rules are followed to key and note just for the government to turn down the appointment like that is unbelievable.

I rang the registry office at 4.50pm knowing they shut at 5pm. It was only to ask a quick question but the lady I spoke to went above and beyond and ended up staying until nearly 5.30. She was extremely helpful and in no rush to get me off the phone. I would like to thank her so much for the time she took on my call and how helpful she was. As a result of the call, I'm now getting married on Good Friday.

Difficult to contact, phones not answered, too many people working from home!

Garbage. Just like St. James's. Delays, delays, excuses, excuses......12 days after my father's passing, and STILL no call from the registry to go in and sign the certificate . Day 13.....finally signed the death certificate, after the woman who rang to make my appointment me called me David....my deceased dad's name......but then given a copy without signature's?? Do I even have a valid certificate??

Arrived early for my appointment and was directed to the first floor by a member ofSecurity.Really impressed with helpful and respectful service, well done Leeds City CouncilShame you need security guards to counter abusive public but, hey ho employment is important too.

A 5 minute window for brand new parents navigating Leeds city centre, car parking, new baby etc to register a birth in those early weeks is a total joke. Extremely inflexible and frustrating.

Gave notice for marriage on the 11th of February for wedding on the 29th of April and said they would send out a “marriage pack” to my email address on the same day. Did not hear anything for a month. Contacted them by phone on 11th of March (over an hour on hold) and lady over the phone was apologetic and said she would send it out by the end of the day. Still nothing. Tried ringing today and after being on hold for over an hour I get through but they hung up in less than 5 seconds as phone was on loudspeaker at other end of the room. Now in another queue waiting for an hour. Absolutely shameful.
