Just had a fabulous dish on a hot plate, king prawn sautéed beef with noodles wine & cream, bit cool in there and we were the only customers but at the end my wife could hear a clicking noise but I could see in the kitchen, the chef who is the proprietor was clipping all ten fingers over the cooker the words that spring to mind are wholly inappropriate and unprofessional but you have to ask if he does this what else does he do? Fortunately as he was doing this after our meal there was no chance just before we arrived! Told the young waitress who apologised but happily took my money and I probably would not be typing here if she had gone to get her boss who had apologised in person and you have to wonder if she was brave enough to mention it after we left.

Poor customer service. Very slow. For an Italian this restaurant is a joke. Bresaola is uncooked beef, where as my mother got cooked beef. Clearly don't understand what they are serving. Low quality food in general, not worth the expensive price given. Gluten free pizza? Nope, my mother had a massive allergic reaction which led to us having to leave early. Probably the worst Italian restaurant I have ever been to. I don't class this as Italian at all.

Pretty much as bad as it's going to get as far as food, £13.00 for a pizza and chips takeaway, pizza Base was oily and some how dry biscuit like at the same time, with no real flavour. Didn't seem like even any attempt was made to serve up some thing close to edible. Chips I've never seen such a measly portion for the money. Obvious they just don't care about what they serve or what represents themselves. Devon does seem to be one or the other at the moment. Girl was apologetic, but there should be no reason to be in the first place, and no way I was going to do a return journey for a replacement what?.... Leaving tomorrow and this is the last meal here to remember such a beautiful place by. Would have rather gone hungry and given this money to charity.

*****Update: Really, really sorry that you've stopped trading - please let me know if you open up again somewhere else as we miss you.*****Generally good, simple pasta and pizza done incredibly well in a totally unpretentious manner. Some meat and fish dishes which I haven't tried but look well presented and very appetising, but can't bring myself to break away from three or four favourites I have.Great welcome and very prompt service. Booking worthwhile but sometimes quiet on week day evenings.

Am afraid this was very disappointing and definitely not authentic Italian cuisine.Food was bland and overlooked & over priced .

What is a 'cheeky' wine John Hutchison, I never did understand that term? Anyways, pleasant enough restaurant with English staff ever so pleased to be of assistance which is what all restaurant personnel should be like quite honestly. The interior could do with some work, I didn't feel comfortable with the decor at all. The food was OK but nothing to get that excited about, I've had much worse but I've had a lot better too. Would probably give it another try when back in the area but if something better was on offer, I would jump at it.
