In thirty years this company hasn't had a complaint from a dog owner. 2020 happened. I complained about them distressing my dog they accommodated my requests. Trust me they didn't. The first day they arrived at 7.30am and left by 3pm. The next day when I contacted them apologised for noise but didn't feel they needed to give prior warning or tell the person having the work done too. I asked as they finished at 3pm the day before and can legally finish at 5pm if they could have 10 minute breaks after 2 hours they say this is unreasonable. After asking for them to lay both layers on Monday after they said they were over running and communicating with me as I had brought my concerns was me being unreasonable even though I had managed to sort something out to get out of the situation as they made no prior notice they were working in the area. They then advised they were laying tarmac and making noise from 12pm then they arrived on site at 10.30am and proceeded to flatten the area with a machine to make the ground level. They claim not to make noise but they were wearing ear protectors. They are a family run business the results of the drive look great. As they say in their reply I didn't have the work done myself and the end result looks good. Shame about the noise and lack of understanding.

Constructed an absolutely brilliant block paved driveway for me last week (January 2022). A very professional company from start to finish and at competitive prices. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

Excellent service from Sebastian, Paul, Ant and their colleagues. Sebastian took a great deal of time and effort finding out and confirming what we wanted and he kept in contact throughout the work carried out to extend our driveway, the laying of tarmac and resin and dropping the kerb. They were courteous to us and our neighbours and completed everything on time and to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend Johnson Surfacing Ltd.

This company recently carried out some major work to the front of our house, the driveway and some landscaping at the back. We found them to be outstanding at every stage. Seb guided us through the planning and execution helping us with decision making. We were given all the information we needed before and during the work including exact pricing. Tony and Anthony who carried out much of the work were marvellous being conscientious and meticulous. We are delighted with the outcome.

Great company, from the initial quote right through to the completion. No issues at all. Quick, bang on the quote despite having to do some extra filling work. The finish is superb. Can’t fault the guys, real work ethos. Clean and tidy when done. Have faith as I did and you’ll not be sorry.

Second time I've used this company and once again the work was carried out to an extremely high standard, with the minimum of fuss and mess. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend.

I can't fault the service given by Seb and his team, in laying a new driveway. We had excellent communication and a comprehensive quote. The team who carried out the groundworks worked very hard over some very hot days during the summer and the company who completed the top layer of resin were also very efficient. We are thrilled with our new drive.

Job well doneSebastian was helpful and knowledgeable and, although the quote wasn’t the cheapest it wasn’t the dearest either.The 2 groundworkers – Paul and Anthony – were cheerful, pleasant and thoughtful and answered questions in a friendly and informative way offering advice along the way. They did a great job of preparing the site for the crew to lay the tarmac and helped them on the day. The tarmac crew were cheerful and happy to address any questions and made sure we were happy with the result before they left.Would recommend.
