Book a table if you can!Always a great night at Matt and Phred's. Live music every night. Nice pizza, too. Book a table, even if not eating as it can get really busy.

Love the energy of the live band, fabulous music, great environment to relax and enjoy ourselves in the cozy atmosphere at Matt & Phreds Jazz Club, definitely worth a visit to be here, and I am glad we've chosen to get to this place instead.

I really like this place. The speakeasy vibe was so great it put me in the mood for a Pina Colada. Even though that wasn't on the menu, the bar staff made one up for me. Marvellous.

Wonderful evening out here listening to the live band. It's cool laid back and the sound system is loud enough to enjoy the experience without being deafening.

I love Matt and Phred’s so much! It’s easily the home of jazz in Manchester, and it does justice to that reputation! The venue is quite large for a jazz club, but sometimes it can really fill up and feel like quite an energetic, upbeat atmosphere. I’ve never had the staff be anything but kind and outgoing with me, and it’s always a pleasure to go here.I highly recommend their jam nights on Mondays. I attended the jazz jam, and it was a very welcoming group of musicians and audience. Great experience!Cocktails are well-made too! I love the happy hour deals they run every week day. Highly highly recommend

El sitio esta bien localizado y la música está muy bien. Toco una banda que daba gusto escuchar. El problema del sitio es como está montado. en la entrada hay mesas y frente de escenario otras mesas. pues el montón de gente acumulada en el medio de bar frente de la barra con todas ls chaquetas en la mano intentando ver algo de escena que no se ve nada. el sistema de sonido es una castaña. Solo escuchas la batería y el bajo. si la guitarra o teclado tira algún solo se ahoga entre la el resto del ruido. No de lo tienen que reorganizar la colocación y el sistema de sonido.

What a lovely atmosphere, and lovely little venue.. the pizza, free pizza during happy was fab, the music was fab and the cocktails were fab. Definitely will be going again once the opportunity arrives again..Had a lovely evening with my daughter on this who loves the cello..

Found this place online, so we thought we would check it out whilst visiting Manchester. Went for happy hour. Buy 2 drinks and get a free pizza. It was fantastic value for money, the pizza was really nice too. The staff were lovely and the music amazing.

Love this place. Free entrance and live music every day! It's so good having affordable options and being able to enjoy the music scene of Manchester. Really good vibe too
