SMDEC - Stockport

I waited over 2 hours to be called back, got to number 1 in the queue to then be told by automated message to phone back when it was less busy and the call was ended. I am in a lot of pain and don't have a dentist. What am I meant to do?Supposed to be for emergencies yet because it hasn't been 24 hours they won't arrange me an appointment even though I got no sleep last night with the pain. I have to phone back tomorrow and then can't get an appointment until Friday. Not good enough

With a raging toothache, I read the reviews ang thought,, nah, the service can't be as bad as that, sadly it is. The first time I rang I was apparently number 10 in the queue, waited 20 minutes before being told I was number 9 in the queue - progress! Waited a further 10 minutes, then disconnected. Undaunted, I rang them back, number 11 in the queue. I patiently waited 90 minutes until at last I was caller number 1!! I waited breathlessly, then came the inevitable 'click' and I was disconnected - is someone playing games?!? (I've just been contacted by the local health authority - because I'd previously rung 111 - and they've thankfully sorted a dental appointment for me tomorrow!) I wonder if Johnson and co. have to go through this rigmarole too?

Seen as an emergency at 10am Saturday. The staff are so nice and the dentist surgery lovely and calming. I have a fear of dentists but they put me at ease and sorted my tooth pain

Horrible experience the woman with bad attitude tried taking my tooth out and failed but then left me with my mouth bleeding just passing me a cotton wool and saying you’ll be ok , think it was because my appointment was 7pm she probably wanted to go home ! Disgusting would not recommend to anyone

Exceptional service! After enduring a sleepless night and not eating due to severe tooth and jaw pain, I am immensely thankful for this team.Within just five minutes of arriving, I was in a treatment room with the dentist, undergoing an x-ray and discussing treatment options. They were remarkably swift in administering anesthesia and extracting the tooth, providing immense relief from the agonizing pain I had been experiencing.I cannot praise them highly enough! Every member of the staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. It's a pity they are only for emergencies, as I would wholeheartedly entrust them with any other necessary treatments without a second thought.

7pm emergency appointment. X-Ray then extraction. Very friendly. Very professional. Outstanding.

Waited on the phone for 3 and a half hours to get to no 1 then I was cut off not happy as I’m in a lot of pain You need more staff to answer the phones . My problem is still on going so not a good service at all to say your and out of hours service
