Quite expensive but really fun. It was really well organised but the lockers are quite small and only take coins like it's 1998.Make sure you get the right sized skates as loose fitting ones will really affect your ability to cut through the ice with grace and finesse. There are really good stewards going round constantly looking out for people falling and helping them out which I found really reassuring.Pro tip: There is no shame in hanging onto your child's skate penguin for the entire session, pretending like it's for their benefit when in fact they're quite happy skating off unaided.

A must visit place during winter season in Birmingham. This temporary amusement part is installed in front Birmingham national library.Where you can find a ice rink, giant wheel and some nerve wrecking rides for adventure enthusiasts.Kids, elders, family members can enjoy the giant wheel. It cost around £8.In all the rides the students get £1 discount. Make sure you carry your student ID card to avail the discount. For the ice skating, i suggest you to prepare your mind mentally. Why because, for beginners it would be challenging to skate. Alternatively you can hold the side ramps/side bars and walk around. Additionally you can buy penguin assistance holder to prevent you from skidding. For 1 hour you can enjoy the skating. There are small lockers to keep mobile phones, water bottles and small handbags. The cost of the locker is £1. Remember to carry a coin with you.You can exchange your footwear to skiing shoes according to your foot size. Get ready and make sure the skiing shoes are tied property. You can ask for assistance to verify your shoes.Practice to balance once after you wear the skiing shoes in the waiting area (carpet surfaces). This is just to familiarize yourself with the new shoe and its alignment. I recommend to visit during non peak hours to save some ticket money.Check the official website about the timings and event durations.

Most of it was good, however I was given the older blue skates that that were absolutely useless, could no skate with these whatsoever. No one else had these skates so I went to change them and the security guard who was letting people off was so rude. When I asked him if I can come back on (because it was one way off and on and I couldn’t get round to the entrance gate as it was on the other side of the rink) after I’d changed my skates he didn’t even answer he just pulled rude faces at me. It was very warm in there so the ice was melting making it like a pond. Apart from that the other staff we friendly and once I had skates that were fit for use, it was enjoyable.

Brought my 7yr old grandaughter after booking ticket online to be told she wasnt allowed on,after trying to tell the lady at the entrance who was quite rude, she sent me to speak to the lady at the box office,no help wat so ever, i requested to speak to the manager,i think i was sent some random worker has he had no manners, and when i asked to see his manager he said i work for myself soi asked for a refund and was told no, some of the staff running the ice skating are very rude including him,the customer service is discusting and if he is the manager then he needs retraining, all he seemed interested in was ripping people off with money and getting on his phone.

One of those things that we've ticked off a bucket list for our children, but will never do again. The rink is overly full of adults who are just there to get social media posts with an interesting backdrop, who get in the way of all of those who are trying to actually skate, before perching themselves on the sides to post on their smartphones. While I was watching out for my kids, a grown lady fell hard right in front of me and burst into tears from the pain. It took absolutely ages for someone to attend to her.I never skated myself, but I asked my kids for their feedback, and they did not enjoy themselves at all...

Way to many people on ice in the same time so you can actually enjoy the experience and about the ice… way to watery so you can proper iceskate. Was all about give us your money not about customers experience or safety!

It’s a good place for entertainment but only limited options. Not suitable for all age groups

Great facility, but way too many people admitted in making it almost impossible to skate around and almost guaranteed to have people bumping into you or taking you out with a skating aid.Would recommend trying this if you can gonat a quieter time or if you aren't fussed about doing much skating.Bar above is lovely and the set up is really nice how you can hear the live singer (who was amazing) from the bar whilst on the skating rink.
