if you want to rent through an estate agent who advertises the wrong info and will happily show places with black mouldy sofas then get in touch

I don't know what they're like for landlords, but they don't treat tenants with much respect. Avoid.

Incompetent at best,Amy trots out the usual reply,Sarah has no clue whatsoever, excuses as to why the deposit hasn't been issued back, blamed it on the accountant, ignored repeated emails and calls for help regarding mould... stay away

Treated with little respect in the buying process. We got the deal done through our own chasing with the vendor and solicitor. On the day of purchase we got the keys in an envelope, the estate agent (Tim) didn’t budge off his seat. Don’t expect a warm handover or flowers from these guys.

Sums up the slumlord issues that the island of Ireland is facing. Amidst a cost of living crisis, McGeown’s have left us waiting 5 months and counting to receive our deposits back, leaving us in a world of hardship and vulnerability. When questioned on the matter, office drones reply with poor excuses and even poorer attempts at ignoring us via email. Do not rent from these people!

Rented with them a few years back and the house had a mold problem. When notified one of their estate agents came out to look at it and argued/made excuses. He said it was our fault for having a bed against the wall in question and that it needed to be removed. It was a box room and the layout/furniture in it was as it was when we moved in. Rather than say sure that is a problem and then arrange to treat the area, he chose to be rude and unprofessional and argue for 10 minutes to get out of doing anything about it? When they eventually sent someone round to deal with the problem, they sent two painters over with no notice, let themselves in when others weren't there, moved the furniture back from the area and just painted over it, splattering paint all over the things in the room they didn't even bother to cover. Unbelievable is all I can say. Criminals, they shouldn't be in business.
