Hemswell Antique Centres

What a place! Just one of their buildings is better than the best antique stores you've been to...and they have 3 more buildings!! All full of high quality antiques. They are very, very organized and the staff are amazingly helpful. My most highest recommendation. If you go on a Sunday, you can walk through the largest car-boot sale/market first.

Absolutely fantastic antique centre. Certainly one of the best we’ve been to and could spend days exploring. Maybe they can start a hotel as well. Definitely not a junk shop and proper antiques of quality. We walked away with a couple of boxes full of purchases. Well worth a trip here just to visit the antique centre.

The antique centres are great, this review is based on the cafe.They advertise Fish and Chip Friday" and didn't have any fish when we turned up at 1:30. I don't get how you can offer a meal for 2 and a half hours a week and not have enough half way through your advertised day."

We always enjoy a visit here, although there is so much to see you really need 2 days. The food on site is very nice and good value for money.

Had a lovely day. Plenty to choose from. Everything for everyone.Good food place to eat and drink. Never got round all the buildings .So will be back soon.

Amazing as always. You never know what you are going to find. Anything from original beehive door knobs, a curious plethora of hand bells, to pub stools (which came home with me!). This place is truly a treasure trove.

It felt like I was dreaming but this place is literally the greatest place on earth!! It took us 4 hours to just walk round 3 buildings and I believe there are 12 chocka full of strange and interesting items to geek out on if you are a big kid like me! I spent way too much money but I could have spent more.We will be going back in a few months for sure.It’s free parking and there are plenty of other facilities on site too which we didn’t try but the food from the various cafes smelt very good indeed.

A wonderful experience on a recent trip to Hemswell to make a special purchase for a big birthday - we were treated to the best service and the staff, particularly Laura, went out of their way to help us find the perfect piece. Nothing was too much trouble and the time given to us was greatly appreciated. Just a lovely experience, topped off with amazing tea and cake!

After 11yrs, I finally took a trip out to Hemswell. Forget the high Street, for gifts or household items, come hear. First you'll get a shock at the size of the place, being an ex RAF base. Then there's the range of items from furniture, to art deco posters, antique to modern items, & everything in between. Jewellery, silverware, pictures, persian carpets & rugs, with prices to suit every pocket.I wish I had visited here years ago, but I will definitely be back.There's plenty of parking, & I'm now enjoying a lovely coffee in the guard room cafe. Theres also a great restaurant in one of the other buildings.You are going to have to place yourself, & a day might not be enough, my head is still spinning.What more can I say, apart from the staff are mega friendly & helpful. Oh & it's all on-line as wellWhat a great afternoon, hopefully see you all again very soon
