We have used Riverview Portfolio for around 5 years. We have been extremely happy with their services and timely advice. Both Mark and Dan are very approachable and provide on going advice to support our businesses. During lockdown they were always on hand to provide any topical updates. When the light at the end of the tunnel isn't the HMRC express train.Spoiler alert — life isn't fair!HMRC are increasing the number of tax investigations. The economic damage caused by Covid 19 to the government's finances seems to be one of the reasons.They use software called 'Connect' to look for the smallest discrepancies in spending or earnings. 'Eye of Sauron' springs to mind! Random investigations happen even if you've done nothing wrong.The good news is that a fee protection insurance can soften the financial impact. The accountancy fees in defending an investigation could wipe out a young company.It helps me to sleep better knowing that the team at RiverView have had my back a few times now. They are the light you want to have at the end of the tunnel.

Awful. Quoted me a price to conduct work having had full sight of all information. After the event sent me a bill which was 35-40% higher. When challenged I was refused explanation or transparency for weeks. Was then met with rudeness and threats. Found the firms approach very opportunistic.Overall - work done was satisfactory, however, there are plenty of firms out there, this is not one I'd recommend using.Further to the aggressive response provided by the firm below; anyone who would like a live review with evidence of why you shouldn't use these guys, please dont hesitate to contact me.
