One of the very best local butchers, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I've been getting all our meat from there for 18 years. Even as staff and owners changed a few years ago it remains the best only now with more variety of flavours for sausages, bbq ribs etc. Their meat is always top quality and I can't really single out any one thing they do better than anything else though the bacon is world's better than any pack.Time to add a little, simply to say that whilst the meat is as good as ever their pastry products are all very good and unsurprisingly, meaty! The Cornish pasties are my favourite and are far superior to those of larger organisations.Please don't ever close! This has recently expanded to include a small deli counter with a few pastries, cheeses olives, sun dried tomatoes etc.

Has no wheelchair access but very friendly and helpful, lots of knowledge on butchery and the best cuts for your needs. Sells free range pork and chicken, local lamb and duck eggs and wild rabbits and venison when available. Traditional butcher, he even makes his own bacon!

I used to use this butcher when I visit Hull - every few weeks.Today, I went to buy boereworse (South African spicy sausages). They had none in stock and appeared disinterested in my enquiries as to when they would make some more. The butchers appeared to different chaps from my previous visits, and just didn’t seem to care about their customer service. It’s a shame, as I have decided to find a new butcher as a result.

First rate classic butcher old school. Forget getting meat from the supermarket this is far better. Look out for their own made in Hull" burgers and sausages. These guys understand meat"

Been going to Norman's on and off for over 25 years and no matter who's owned the shop in that time it's always been quality meat and service. The local eggs are a bargain and very fresh - they keep a good 3 weeks normally.I wish the new owner well and I look forward to the next 25 years shopping here.

Top quality meat and poultry.Their sausages are simply delicious.Sure,you may pay more than a supermarket but the taste and service are second to none.A great local independent butchers.
